About this property

Even your dog feels Oregonian at Rosie Ranch!

Your family along with your doggie are invited to relax nestled in the woodsy 1.5 acre ranch located on Kellogg Creek.

You may be greeted by deer, bull frogs and hear typical nearby sounds of nature such as: chickens, turkeys and our night owl.

You will be greeted by our friendly Black Lab Momo. So, if you have a dog and understand doggie noises and want an inexpensive place to stay this is it!

THE IN-LAW UNIT - has a private entrance through the Creekside Patio downstairs into a bright space including a “ROMANTIC BEDROOM SUITE” which is naturally cool (around 68-74) in the summer and can also be toasty warm anytime by turning on your own gas fireplace. There’s a large fenced dog run outside for your doggie. The “LIME IN THE COCONUT ROOM” is a cozy cheerful room for a person to sleep. Prepare anything you desire in your own kitchen. Refresh yourself in your own private bathroom. The place can sleep up to four people, plus ONE dog (extra pets are $3per day per pet) PLEASE specify at the time of your reservation what your requests are for rooms and sleeping arrangements and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. You’ll have two off street parking spaces (No RV’s) along with TV/WIFI via using Amazon Fire TV.
Quiet hours are 11 pm - 7am

This is a very inexpensive place to stay (less then a Motel 6) with your Doggie, In keeping it at an extremely low price, please do not expect a high-end, or a fancy place other then what you see in the pictures. Let us know if anything needs to be maintained that is essential to your stay. You will be given some basic supplies.

While we do a thorough professional cleaning (using Lysol multi-surface cleaner on ALL surfaces, including be not limited to door knobs) in between each guest stay, we kindly ask that prior to leaving, you clean and put away any dishes (we will remove everything and clean them for the next guest) Please JUST place all bath towels, bath mats, sheets and pillow cases, in the washer. WE will wash everything in hot water. Please leave comforters on the floor in laundry room. Don’t remove mattress casing, well do that and wash it. Your assistance helps us get through our cleaning process quicker and allows us to keep cleaning costs down for you and future guests.

The outdoor patio fireplace is available to guests to use, however please never leave the fire unattended for everyone’s safety. You may leave the fire unattended when just embers are left burning in the patio.

When you leave the “Unit” please turn gas fireplace to the pilot light (12 o’clock position on the dial) this is explained in detail on the fireplace mantel. This is for everyone’s safety, to conserve energy and the environment (Global Warming)

In the “Pink Leopard” folder upon check in has “where only the locals eat” and other secrets about the area.

Oatfield that allows pets
We stayed here because we had our dog and needed a place where she could go out and go potty. The add makes the yard look great. It is not - overgrown 24-inch-tall weeds and NO grass. The dog run is not inviting and a mess. The bed has a ripped comforter, chairs are broken, kitchen is in need of updates. The topper was they had ant poison tabs in places we could not see. But of course, the dog found. We had a reserved the place for 2 months. Two weeks into it, I had to leave the country and my wife was supposed to stay there for the remainder. She would not... She was disgusted by the place. I asked if we could get our money back for the second month and I would eat the cost for the last couple weeks of the first month. Owner said, if he can get it booked for the second month by someone else for that second month, he would refund me. I knew then that wouldn't happen. Bad experience for my first second VRBO ever. Bad enough I will never use it again. There needs to be a way to way to terminate early for bad services and not as advertised places. Maybe there is and I am unaware. But either way - I will never do that again. And as for the place, I would definitely not recommend it. We were kind of stuck, because of the dog and not many places allow them. But again, I will do something different from now on.

Super Host/Place/Experience
The property owner's availability, problem-solving skills, and innovative property enhancement were excellent. The expertise which he demonstrated in his multiple areas of interest put him in the renaissance-man conversation. Given this capability along with the property itself, all my goals for this Oregon were thus easlily achieved.

As pictured
Quiet neighborhood close to the city and shop with a country side feel. Bruce was able to accommodate us when we had to check in a day earlier. The place itself is like the pictures and has everything we needed for our stay.

A fantastic place to stay
We stayed at Bruce’s Rosie Ranch for 2 months, November into January, while we were between selling our home and work being done on our new home. We needed a place to stay where we could have our cat, keep a certain amount of important items with us, and that had a fully functioning kitchen. Rosie Ranch fit the bill and Bruce was extremely accommodating. Being there in the winter was very comfy with the gas fireplace keeping us warm as well as having the warm glow from the fire. Full size appliances made it easy to prepare meals and do our laundry. Internet and a large screen TV allowed us to keep up with our digital and entertainment needs. We just wish we were there in the dryer months to spend time by the fire on the back deck. It looked very inviting. I would definitely stay here again!

We love dogs and all living things. I volunteer helping kids do art at hospitals. I enjoy sailing and ping pong. People are great but dogs are my best friends.

Why they chose this property

Rosie Ranch is a wonderful place for people who like nature and being around animals. That being said, this place can be noisy, with dogs barking and playing. This is a great place to bring a dog and sleep at night, if you’re out most of the day seeing sites.

What makes this property unique

Doggie Friendly, inexpensive place to stay, 20 minutes to downtown Portland!
