Clean and comfy

  • 4 of 5

House was comfy, very nice deck, but no lake views. Fans were very appreciated since it was unseasonably warm. We could not find a toaster in the kitchen -- had to use the broiler for our bagels and muffins! Lake access is walkable, but a steep uphill on the way back!

Cozy and quiet!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great house for our small family. It was nice that the home had some essentials already stocked (hand soap, dish-washing liquid, toilet paper etc) so we didn't have to immediately run to the store. The fans for bedrooms were also key. The first week of August got a little warm with no AC. The wifi was appreciated and our Apple TV worked perfectly. All in all it was a great week and if we come back to Sunapee we would consider this house again!

Excellent house, excellent location

  • 5 of 5

I had a quick getaway weekend to this house in early November of last year. The drive from/to the greater Boston area was easy. The fall colors were still in full swing, and the neighborhood was peaceful and beautifully maintained (yet natural). The house was clean, the beds are super comfortable, and the dock is perfect for star gazing. Plenty of trails and nearby restaurants and shopping offer something for everyone!

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

I spent a glorious fall weekend at this house with friends. There is lots of great hiking in the area, as well as surprisingly good restaurants and other things to do in the area. The house is super neat, tidy and well maintained. The dock (shared with neighbors) is fantastic, and the neighbors are friendly. Great views, great times.

Great House Close to Lake

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here at the end of August in 2016. The house was very well maintained, clean, and spacious. The surrounding trees gives a fair amount of privacy, and the two levels of the house gives additional space on rainy days. The house was also stocked with movies, toys, and games, which was awesome for our two boys (ages 6 and 8).

The house is about a 5 minute walk, down a moderate/steep hill, to the water. You do have to walk on the road, but there was very little traffic and you are in a residential area, so it felt safe. You can park your car closer to the water to unload any heavy water toys, kayaks, or rafts. There is also a nice grassy field just before the water to play lawn games. The shared dock is quite big and perfect for jumping off of or fishing off (our kids had a blast doing both of these - the pictures made it onto our holiday card - so it was definitely a high point of the summer). We were here at the end of the season and very rarely ran into anyone else using the dock. So it actually felt fairly private. When we did bump into neighbors, they were very nice and polite.

We did half-day motor boat rentals at the local marina for 3 of the nicer days. This part of the lake can definitely get choppy, but it was quite pleasant on the nicer days, when there wasn't much wind. We also made good use of our paddle boards and kayak. We even made an outing (via paddle board and kayak) to the public beach / swimming area just down at the end of the cove. They have an ice cream shop there as well as restaurants, so it is a fun outing. Oh, and I should mention that there is also a side dock/ramp, for launching kayak's and paddle boards off of. We were able to leave our paddle boards and kayaks down by the water most of the week (there were a few windy nights where we brought them up, just to be safe).

Trish was very accommodating, honest, professional, and easy to work with. We knew exactly what the rental was going to be like before we got there and had no misconceptions on what was included.

It is a great rental and I would definitely recommend it!

Trish was very accommodating and this place was awesome. Very peaceful and quiet but close to everything. Set up on a hill in the trees. So pretty and inviting you feel at home Great place to relax and plenty to do in the area if you want to explore. I would highly recommend this amazing getaway.
