Definitely NOT Glamorous!!!

  • 1 of 5

First let me start by saying the property manager was GREAT!!!

That being said... where do I even start...

Parking- what a nightmare, I have a long SUV, that I had to inch back and forth to get it turned around between the buildings and I was terrified that someone was going to hit it at some point in the night... that I could have lived with but a warning about poor parking would be nice..

Leaking sealing in the first floor bathroom... what a mess.. I called the property manager and maintenance was there in minutes... very nice gentleman, but it was a mess to clean up and it was not fixed, every time someone took a bath upstairs the downstairs bathroom got soaked.

The neighbors where VERY LOUD, skate boarding outside well past 11pm

The last straw was being awoken at 6am... I don’t know about you, but being on vacation means SLEEP!!! Not long term construction going on 6 feet from my bedroom window, jack hammering, front loaders, dump trucks ... you name it!!! I seriously thought we were experiencing an a earthquake. Talk about stress.. And it was difficult to get out with the long double trailer dump trucks parked in front of the single lane driveway, that I had to wait for them to move so we could leave every morning.

The actual Townhouse I would describe as having character, not glamorous...

It’s a lot of money to pay to deal with so much drama on my vacation, I was glad to get home to my quiet house so I could have a good nights sleep...

Stay was fine with not many complaints

  • 4 of 5

The property is in a good location to holllywood blvd. Our stay was fine, I wouldn't say the property was extremely nice but it wasn't bad and it was just what we needed. The floors were pretty dirty and our feet turned black after walking barefoot even just for a couple minutes. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Nice place to stay- good location

  • 4 of 5

This is a great place for a large family or group. Furnishings were sparse regarding toiletries, towels and dishes, but doable. Very handy location and spacious. Would stay again. Thank you!

Perfect for our needs

  • 4 of 5

This was our second time staying in this complex and while I wouldn't call it "glamorous" it was definitely a nice place to stay. It is somewhat dated, but the units are very clean and I would definitely stay here again. Property manager, Marcy, was quick to provide whatever we needed when we contacted her.

Property was in a great location in proximity to Hollywood and Universal Studios.

  • 4 of 5

The property was exactly what we needed. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, centrally located home base for a larger group of people on a smaller budget, then this will work out great. We are a family of 7, and there were beds for everyone and a kitchen to prepare breakfast in, and it was within walking distance to the walk of fame and Graumann's, and a 6 minute drive to Universal Studios. There was a great Thai restaurant on the corner, and plenty of other eating options available as well as a grocery store close by.

As a family coming from a small town, I was a little worried about the neighborhood when we arrived, but the locals were friendly, and we had no problems with anything. It is right in the heart of the city, so it was noisier than we were used to, but that comes with the excellent proximity to what we wanted to do.

The staff when we arrived (on a non-workday) were wonderful. We had a slight issue with the battery dying in the electronic lock, but they had it corrected right away so that it did not affect our trip at all. (Thanks you!)

If you are looking for something high-end or luxurious, I wouldn't think this would be a good choice, but if you are looking for a cost-effective, basic home base from which to spend most of your time exploring then this would be great. It worked out well for us, and I would do it again.
