Location was great however, photos are deceptive, condo is dark, dingy, none of the window blinds opened, and with so many coats of paint that most doors do not close. Exterior looks slummy has not had proper maintenance in a while. There was no heat, and the fireplace did not work, was a cold week. Water pressure was low, toaster did not work, lacking in some kitchen utensils. Electrical needs update, breaker blew whenever microwave used. Doubt I will stay there again.

Property not as expected

  • 2 of 5

We were disappointed with some of the conditions of the rental property.

The windows didn't all close properly thus letting much noise and cold into to property.

This made for cold conditions in the premises. Even with a couple of heaters, temperatures never reached much more than 60 degrees.

The cleaning products used in the apartment gave off a very strong odour. This is not a good situation with clients sensitive to chemical scents.

Lighting was very poor in most rooms except possibly the bath room.

The usual utensils and small appliances were not up to standard for a property in this price range. Only three coffee mugs, a toaster that wasn't operational, no cork screw, missing light bulbs...., when rented by 4 adults.

We hope you can see to making these small changes to improve the quality of the rental.

great location for the price!

  • 4 of 5

Location, location, location. We chose this apartment for its location, and it did not disappoint. We were able to walk to Hollywood & Vine and other "touristy" attractions. Beyond the location, there were both good and bad aspects of this apartment experience. First I will highlight the positive, then will focus on the negative.

It is an older, original property with a few updates, like in the kitchen (nice fridge, cooktop and dishwasher) and the upstairs bathroom with its small jacuzzi tub. The 3 beds were comfortable and clean, as was the apartment in general. Not spotless clean, but good enough. It had a nice dining table, 2 couches - one of which flattened out to become a bed, and a flat screen tv on one wall. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT!!

What I did not care for was how loud and inconsiderate the neighbors were, starting at around 10:30 pm and lasting until 3:00 am. Each night, Thursday through Saturday, folks partied, yelled, laughed, slammed doors, etc.. making sleep an impossibility. If you are a light sleeper like me, this is a place you may need to think twice about. The second disappointment was the second "bathroom". It is a toilet "room" and a shower, at least by definition. The toilet area is as small as one on an airplane, including the size of the sink - this is not an exaggeration. In addition, there is no mirror and no electrical outlet. The toilet has little "flushing" power, so be forewarned. The shower is across from the toilet room, and was tiny as well. It was too small for me to consider using , so I used the upstairs bathroom, as did all but one of us. Last, make sure to read the list of what is and is not included. I am used to a standard of being provided with bar soap for the shower and sink, and dishwasher soap for the dishwasher. This apartment does not provide those ammeneties, so be prepared.

I gave 4 stars as I realize I may be more picky than most. The location and price were key, and on those two points, this place deserves 4 stars.
