Bright 600 sf 1 Bdrm & office ground level suite in a 1910 character house in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Vancouver. Just a half a block from Commercial Drive, positions you with everything at your finger tips. Shopping, extensive culinary offerings, cafés, recreation, arts and live entertainment.

This redesigned suite is clean and bright with an urban flare; exposed brick and beams make this a unique property. The separate bedroom with a French door offers top quality queen -sized mattress, walk in closet equipped with luxury linens and towels to accommodate 4 guests. The living room, which looks out into the private garden, has a new pull-out sofa bed with memory foam mattress, recliner chair, flat screen TV and electric fireplace. The kitchen has a dining area that seat 4, and is fully equipped to create any type of meal. The suite is on a quiet street that borders McSpadden Park, which offers a kids play ground and tennis courts. If you want to chill after a long day, there is a lush garden patio with table and chairs just outside your door.

All transit is a short walk away; it's 2 minute walk to Sky Train that can deliver you downtown in less than 15 minutes to take in many of the attractions that Vancouver has to offer. The many bike routes near by will likely get you where you're going within 20 min.

This is the perfect place to call your home away from home. As your host, I'm happy to share my knowledge of Vancouver and this amazing neighborhood with you. I am also willing to help accommodate any requests you may have to make your stay a fabulous one.

Another excellent stay

This was our 2nd time at this property & as before Magie,the owner went above & beyond to make sure we had a lovely stay.Everything you could possibly need is at this immaculately clean property.The situation is ideal,just minutes from the vibrant Commercial Drive & ideal for the Skytrain to reach downtown Vancouver.I cannot praise this property enough & we will be returning again.

Great space, great location

We loved our stay in Magie's suite! My mother and I came for a long weekend to celebrate her birthday and had a lovely stay. The suite is very clean, well-decorated, and cozy. It is a basement suite below Magie's home, so the ceilings were indeed low. At 5'8" I was comfortable, although I did instinctively duck through a couple of the doorways and my hair could bump the frame when I piled it high on my head ;) My mother generously let me take the bedroom. The bed was quite comfortable, there was lots of storage in the closet and dresser for unpacking clothes, and Magie provided a space heater which was perfect for the chilly fall evenings. My mother ended up putting the sofa bed mattress on the floor as the frame had an odd tilt to it, but was comfortable there.

Magie was incredibly kind and opened up the suite for us far earlier than planned when we arrived in the late morning and both check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. Wifi worked great. We never turned on the tv but she gave us her netflix code if we wanted it. The bathroom was lovely with a nice big, tall shower with great water pressure, and she left some toiletries and a good hairdryer as well. The kitchen was well equipped, and although we didn't cook (too many restaurants to try!), we made many cups of tea and had everything we needed to prepare snacks and reheat leftovers.

The location of the suite is absolutely excellent. Commercial Drive had tons of restaurants to keep our adventurous palates satisfied and it was a very quick walk to the Sky Train and easy to get into town for sightseeing. We also took a great walk down to Trout Lake Park in the evening, which was a lovely way to wind down.

Overall we had a really wonderful stay in Magie's Blue Star Suite and would highly recommend it!

Perfect for what I needed

I was in Vancouver for a class and this was the perfect place for my needs. Great location close to easy transit, plenty of delicious restaurants and easy access to grocery/convenience stores. You can tell Maggie takes pride in maintaining and decorating the suite so it is clean and comfortable. I am from Alberta and find anywhere close to the ocean to be quite humid so I was expecting a basement suite to feel dark and damp, but it wasn’t, it is bright and very comfortable.

Magie was an excellent host, she allowed me to check in early and when she returned she made sure to pop down and welcome us to make sure we had everything. Over the course of the weekend I received a few texts to check in, which was perfect.

Overall great place, would totally stay again.
