Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

Super convenient - across street from lift. Nice kitchen, responsive front desk, convenient shuttle (although you can easily walk to Main Street). Only drawback is pool / hot tub are offsite.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed the location and interior of this condo. While the pool and hot tubs are offsite, they are just a short stroll away or guests can use our complimentary shuttle service!

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Antler’s Lodge A-23! This condo was completely renovated in 2015 and is great for winter and summer. The Snowflake Lift is across the street, and that is also a great hiking trail as well. Main Street is only a few blocks away. The twin over full bunk in the guest room makes this condo a great choice for families or adults traveling together.

Can't really get closer to the lifts and the slopes - thumbs up.

Location, location, location. I've been skiing for a few decades now, but had never stayed "steps" away from a lift and from an adjacent trail - so coming and going was a breeze. There was an on-demand shuttle available as well. So, getting around and even back to the condo from a different lift was pretty easy.

At that price point, I would have liked to have a pool and/or hot-tub within the community - but Antlers is a pretty small facility so I understand why there was none.

I would rent this place again for a quick weekend with friends (like this past time), but with a larger group or family (or a longer stay) I would consider a bigger facility with a few more amenities.

The unit itself was clean, nicely appointed, with ample space.

Two thumbs up.

Noisy

  • 2 of 5

So I am sorry to say our stay was less than enjoyable. If you want to consider this unit here are some pros and cons from my perspective.

Pros: The unit was comfortable and well decorated. I absolutely loved the location; a block from the snowflake lift and the other direction took you right to the snow sculptures we also came to see, but basically downtown. The four O’Clock run is behind the units (didn’t seem to be a way to get into the units from the run, but I found it close enough at the snowflake lift exit). Also it comes with a garage stall and it is heated.

Cons: The garage stall is shared with the unit above you. If like us you get a rather inconsiderate person to share with (luckily only the first night) they park not giving you room enough to actually use the space. Even if they are considerate (second night) if you both have larger SUV’s only one of you will fit. Also there is a box for gear at the end, so if you have a longer vehicle you might have issues. The noise suppression between the upstairs unit and this unit appeared to be minimal given the people using the upstairs unit on the second night. But by far the largest complaint is that the windows seem to act more like sound amplifiers. The shuttle stop is more or less outside (actually slightly to the left) the bedroom windows so until the shuttle stops there seemed to be a never-ending stream of laughing, yelling, and loud conversation. If you have kids be warned.

The owners should seriously consider upgraded windows, it wasn’t that the unit was too hot or cold, but I am serious they act more as an amplifier than suppressor. I understand that is not a cheap upgrade (having recently replaced all the ones in my own home). But it would have made the stay a lot more enjoyable.

Also if the owners know the upstairs owners the group our second night sounded pretty ... destructive.
