Villa Madeleine
Embrace The Simplicity Of Authentic Caribbean Living.
Villa Madeleine is located on the breathtaking island of St. Lucia. It is a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom newly renovated villa positioned to capture the most spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. We are privileged to be located on the un-spoilt east coast of the island where we enjoy constant cool breezes.
Villa Madeleine embraces a casual theme while promoting total relaxation in the true Caribbean sense. Stunning sunrises every morning will be the perfect start to your day. Swaying palm trees and birdsong conspire to create a feast for the senses.
For the nature lover a short hike to the ‘point’ is all it takes to experience the most spectacular wave action you will ever see. You can even feel the sea spray as huge waves roll and tumble before crashing into the massive rock face several feet below.
The villa is located very close to two un-spoilt secluded beaches. It is your own little piece of paradise.
The house is open to soothing Caribbean Breezes year round. Large windows bring in light and frame gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean.
The villa features 3 spacious bedrooms all cooled by the trade winds but equipped with air-conditioning for your comfort. Two of the bedrooms are en-suites each with king sized beds, closets and in room safes. One of the en-suites features an open air shower with a view of swaying coconut trees. The 2 bedrooms upstairs both have stunning views of the ocean. There is a porch attached to one of the masters which is perfect for sundown cocktails, catching a sunrise or an early morning cup of coffee. The third bedroom which is located downstairs has views of both the ocean and the garden. This bedroom features a queen bed and closet.
The rest of the house is as comfortable as the bedrooms. There is a spacious living area downstairs which opens to a dining patio on one side and an open porch on the other side. That open porch is ideal for sunbathing on our teak sun loungers. The dining patio is connected to an outdoor kitchen area. These open living areas will help you enjoy outdoor living the way that Caribbean people do.
There is also a fully functional indoor kitchen equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot and other essential food preparation items. The kitchen comes fully stocked with dinner plates, cutlery, bowls, wine glasses, pots and pans all of which are designed to help make your stay as hassle free as possible.
The villa comes equipped with a washer and dryer on site in a separate laundry room. All linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided.
We the owners will help ensure that your time with us goes as smoothly as possible. We help with everything from booking tours to airport pick-up.
The best spot for kitesurfing is located just 10 minutes away from the villa.
For a night out to sample our islands culinary delights the best restaurants are only 1 hour away in Soufriere. We will be happy to help you with your dinner reservations.
You will leave Villa Madeleine totally revitalized and re-inspired.

The house was beautiful-3 bedrooms and 3 baths-perfect for a family of 5. Kitchen had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood on the Atlantic side-we took a walk along the bluffs and it was breath-taking. The yard was private and lovely. Sabina and her family were so helpful. Sabina bought us groceries so we had food when we arrived and she advised us many places to visit. I forgot my laptop and she met me at the airport to return it! I would recommend this house especially if you want a quiet and private home away from home on beautiful St. Lucia!!!
We enjoyed the house. It is very nice, and well furnished and equipped. It's feel like you are staying at a friends home. The air conditioners in the bedrooms were awesome. The area is very quiet and peaceful. We would recommend this property to others.
I would recommend Sabina's home to anyone. We stayed here because we did not want to stay in the tourist part of St. Lucia. We wanted to know what it was like to be a part of the local neighborhood and we found that here. We shopped at the local market, ate at the local restaurants, and toured some of the lesser known attractions of St. Lucia. It was fantastic. We were not fighting crowds of tourist buses or shopping at 'Diamonds International'. We were with the locals which was what we wanted.
Sabina's home is located on a peninsula on the Atlantic side of the island. It has the ocean on three sides of the home. You are not directly on the water but you can see it from several windows. The home itself is very comfortable and Sabina supplies all that you need. The two bedrooms upstairs are master suites. One has a small veranda and the other has an outdoor bathroom. All the bedrooms have air condition. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you would need to cook with. The market is a 15 minute drive away. We spent much of our time on the patio enjoying the ocean breeze.
We asked Sabina to purchase a few items for our first morning on the island so that we would not have to run to the store. We also asked Sabina to prepare two meals for us. I would highly recommend this. Sabina is a fantastic cook and you get to sample the local foods. She made large quantities and we were able to have dinner and leftovers for a light lunch. She explains what the food is and how to eat it. Delicious!
There are two beaches within walking distance. It's a good hike and we chose to drive most of the way to the sandy beach. The sandy beach is perfect for swimming. The other beach is not for swimming but has a charm of it's own with a nice area to walk in the surf.
There are several attractions we went to that were recommended by Sabina. We drove to the Choiseuel Art Gallery owned by Leo and Hattie Barnard. They are a local couple who are artists and carry local art in their shop. They gave us a very informative tour and explained the process of several of the pieces they have and we learned more about the island.
We also went to Latille Water Falls, a small waterfall owned by locals. The cost wasn't much and there were no crowds. You can swim in the falls if you come prepared. We also went to Mamiku, a plantation with botanical gardens. Very pretty. Another must is Tet Paul trail to see the Pitons. You can pay a guide ($10).
My friend and I stayed 4 days at the villa in April and had a very nice time. Sabina welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a quick tour of the house. Our suitcases were taken upstairs for us, which was wonderful. Fresh fruit and water were supplied also. The 2 upstairs bedrooms were large and comfortable and had their own baths. The shower did not have much pressure, but was adequate. Only 1 bath has hot water. The wifi worked fine downstairs, but not upstairs where there is air conditioning. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Our complaint is that the furniture downstairs, while lovely, was not comfortable for us, so we mainly stayed upstairs in the sitting room in the evening in the air. We used Lambert's taxi service during our visit and he did a good job for us, being on time and driving carefully. This is a good location to explore the south part of the island and I do recommend staying here. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating to help us enjoy our stay.
The house is nice and in good condition. It is in a great quite neighborhood near nice beaches and kitesurfing. The location is on the non-tourist side of the island, but close enough to lots of places/attraction. Neighbors are very approachable; one showed me the way to a great beach in the neighborhood (there are two, closer one not so good for swimming but pretty, and other is great but 4x4 is required to get to it or a long walk). Owner provided very good service with requests, maid, and cooking. It is owned by locals and not ex-pats.
Family of 4......Kids - 23 and 19. Spent 3 days in the tranquil south and 3 days in the bustling north. Just about right for us.
Villa Madeleine is not on what one may call the ‘right’ side of the southern half of the island as most activity and tourist spots are along the west coast. We chose it based on the reviews and overall value for $ it provided. West side have older/poorer condition and much pricier properties. We made the absolute right choice especially with Sabina, her husband Nikki and middle son Erwin, as our hosts! To and fro from the ‘action’, though a little ‘repetitive’ (there’s essentially one major road around the entire island!), was always a lovely drive and probably somewhere between 45 and 60 minutes each way.
Sabina met us at the airport with a big smile and had brought along the rental car (AWD Suzuki Grand Vetara) that we had arranged through her. Her bro-in-law, Ernest…….aka “Jacko”, who lives right next to the Villa, rents the car out at a better price than other places. We had arranged for her to get us some starter groceries (eggs, bread, butter, cooking oil, fruits, juice) but if you don’t, you can stop off at the grocery store on the way up. Keep in mind, most places are closed or close early on Sunday.
The Villa is great. Clean, spacious and well stocked. Beds and bedding are comfortable and ample with spare sets available. Bedroom ACs work great and were a big relief for us since temperatures were close to 85F most of time. One thing to know is that only the master bath has running hot water. My kids and wife are not really cold water folks and so we had to plan out our showers. I on the other hand loved the semi-outdoor shower stall. Different experience altogether!
The kitchen has everything and more you need. Salt, sugar, local coffee, water bottles, dishwashing soap, scrubbers and rags are all there. One recommendation to Sabina is to keep some aluminum foil and saran wrap available for use too.
Sabina guided me to the Digicel store for SIM Card with a 7 day data plan and approx.. 20 minutes local talk time for about 17 USD (45 ECD). Was very helpful to have this as I was able to keep in touch with Sabina via text/voice on a regular basis.
Must eat at Island Breeze (run by Sabina's BIL). Also, do a home cooked meal by Sabina. We had Jerk chicken, grilled fish-caught-that-day w/Creole sauce, macaroni and cheese, veges & a traditional plantain salad.
Don't think twice.....rent this lovely place.
The villa is located in the private Canelles community with neighborhood beaches.
St.Lucia is the perfect Caribbean destination with warm tropical weather year-round. The best spot for kitesurfing is just 10 minutes down the road. You can arrange kitesurfing lessons or just relax on the beach with a cold drink.
You can explore St.Lucia's beautiful Atlantic Coast on horseback just minutes from the villa. The location is perfect for accessing all the popular tourist sites on the island.
Come and enjoy a vacation of a lifetime.
