About the property

Chalet, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 11

Escape to Lake Tahoe with a group of 11 (and your dogs) to this four-bedroom, pet-friendly Carnelian Bay retreat! Featuring a classic cabin design, WiFi, and a great North Shore location near trails and other attractions, you'll have a wonderful California vacation home base!

Lace up your hiking shoes (or in winter, your cross-country skis) and take advantage of multi-use trails just down the street, connecting to Tahoe's large trail system. And for great downhill skiing, Northstar California Resort is just 11 miles from your door.

You'll have two levels, with most of the living space on the main floor. Here, you'll have a wood-burning fireplace, plenty of spots for everyone to relax and socialize in the living room, and a flatscreen cable TV and DVD player.

The full kitchen includes all major appliances and you'll also have a lovely outdoor deck with a gas grill. This level also includes two queen bedrooms, a bathroom, and a family room.

Two more bedrooms await upstairs, making this retreat perfect for up to 11 (with a maximum of nine adults). In addition to another queen bedroom, you'll also have a single twin, two more twin beds (bunk-style), and one more queen in the fourth bedroom, as well as a second bathroom.

You can bring your dogs along for an additional nightly pet fee and you'll also have a washer/dryer.

On the nights you don't feel like cooking, head to Gar Woods Grill & Pier - just over a mile away. Out on the lake you can stand-up paddle board, take a scenic cruise, or just relax on the beach.

No matter how you spend your time, skiing in winter or biking in summer, this North Lake Tahoe retreat will make your whole group feel at home!

About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Give it a try

 • 4 of 5

We would definitely stay there again. The house is large enough to accommodate all of us. 3 families stayed there. Plenty of space outside for the kids to enjoy the snow. Just a few things as to not exceed your expectations. Although the house is warm a cozy it could use some updating. Old furniture. Had to cover the sofa with a blanket when I sat in it. That’s just me though. TV is small. The appliances need updating and replacing. It’s very well stocked. More so then the last place we rented. We would stay there again.

Great house!

 • 5 of 5

We stayed here for the ski championships at Squaw . This house is cozy and comfortable. There is lots of space for relaxing and multiple areas to read and play games. It was wonderful that our dogs could come too! The kitchen is well-equipped and the dining table is very long and accommodates a lot of people. The location is nice, it’s up in a nice quiet neighborhood with plenty of good places to walk your dog. And it’s located close to town so you’re near some good restaurants and shops. We had a great time and will definitely stay here again
We had a great stay in this comfortable home. It is in a super location, easy to get to the ski mountain and it’s a great location to go out for dinner in town at night. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back again. Thank you for being a pet friendly location
