Why The Owner chose Morrisville

Our neighborhood is called Morris heights, or The Graystones. At Graystones, located at what is now the borough’s northeast corner at Crown Street and Highland Avenue, William Penn met with members of the Lenape Indian tribe under a white oak tree in 1682 to negotiate the first land-purchase survey in Pennsylvania. The site was named after the extraordinary outcropping of gray bedrock which protrudes from the ground at the northwest end of the site, this guest house is built on this outcropping of stone! We are steeped in history here.

This is probably one of the most unique back deck properties up or down the Delaware River! You will leave refreshed and inspired. Hot summer, dip in the river; fall, enjoy the leaf peeping; winter, cross country ski on the canal path. All seasons offer any visitor a beautiful stay...we knew we would live here before we even stepped out of our car.

What makes this lodge unique

Spectacular stone terrace overlooking the river is "THE" feature... sit all day, enjoy outdoor massages on the deck , or a dinner under the stars! Spa treatments for extra costs can be arranged in the home. A farm-to-table chef/staff is also available for an extra fee that will prepare organic farm-to-table meals delivered completely prepared right to the guest house!

We are 5 minutes from the Trenton Train station, which hosts the local trains local to Philadelphia/NJ, and the AMTRAK trains that traverse across the USA. We are also close to the Yardley Train station. We have taxis and cabs AND UBERS! that travel our streets. We help arrange a car service for extra charge. We are at close proximity to the Philadelphia, and NJ/NY, Princeton and Mercer County airports as well. (Mercer Airpot is only 8 miles away) Enterprise Car rentals at airports as well as well as 4 miles from our home.

Please note: The rental fee is for this home is for 2 guests. There is a $35 per night charge for each additional guest.

Like stepping into another time and place

  • 5 of 5

I love staying at the cottage. I relax and feel like I am somewhere special as soon as I step through the front door. I love the look and feel of a rustic, cottage on the water, and this one does not disappoint. I have stayed several times and always appreciate the attention to detail that the owners put into making the cottage cozy, inviting and serene.

Beautiful Property and Super Clean!

  • 5 of 5

The property is great, especially when weather is nice enough to use the outside firepit. House was amazingly clean and bathrooms very nice. Host is super friendly, left us toys for our kids and even left us a $10 gift card for a local restaurant (was delicious). Only thing to be aware of is that it’s an older house so floors/doors/beds are a bit creaky for light sleepers/kids. That being said we made it work and had a great time. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely and Comfortable Home

  • 5 of 5

The home, with its scenic location, is a wonderful place to stay. City lights cast a warm glow on the river at night. Great restaurants in the area and so many things to see and do. The hosts will go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Imagine arriving after a weary trip to warm cinnamon buns and hot tea with soft music. Need I say more! Many thanks Judy!

Amazing lodge, great hospitality

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five spent one night by the Delaware to divide the drive from DC to Boston. None of us wanted to leave. This place, and the way the hosts prepare everything to make your stay comfortable, is simply unbelievable. Will gladly come again - staying a lot longer.
