Bring your books and your games and settle in to this beautifully restored country home in the outskirts of Sequim. The sweeping lawns lend themselves to a game of badminton, croquet, or remember "you are it". The back side of the house has a small meandering creek, there are fruit trees and berries please feel free to pick during the season and perhaps bake a pie in the beautiful kitchen. This home has been lovingly restored but has kept the integrity of the era from whence it came; hardwood floors, tall ceilings, bead board paneling in the kitchen, old fashioned tile in the bathroom. The upstairs bedrooms, although small, have charm. There are two double beds, one single bed, and a half bath upstairs. The downstairs offers full bath with a walk in shower and soaking tub. The back porch is a delight with comfortable porch furniture. Although we felt it important to keep the nostalgia, we also realize that in today's world people need to be connected so we have internet and WIFI. There is a flat screen TV in the living room but no cable, you can stream in from your NetFlix account. A short ride down Diamond Point Road would give you beach access or you can enjoy a nice meal at the 7 Cedars Casino also a short distance from the house. (Please see below for our holiday dates, on which holiday rates would apply.)
We loved this pristine, lovingly restored farmhouse. The smell of cedars, the trees heavy with apples, the babbling brook running past the comfy back porch. So many charming touches made this a memorable place to stay. We will be back!
We stayed here over our spring break...we had multiple great day trips to Olympic NP, Port Townsend, Olympic Game Farm and Salt Creek Recreation area. The house is wonderful with everything you need to have a relaxing trip (board games, incredible bathroom and kitchen, huge porch, wifi, etc). Our kids loved exploring the creek on the property and playing badminton in the huge front yard. The property manager did everything to make sure our stay was perfect. We are excited to come back and explore all the other areas that we didn't have time to visit. We would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to explore the Peninsula.
We stayed here for our spring break - a great location to go both to Port Townsend, the Sequim and Dungeness Creek recreation areas and Port Angeles. We got a lucky warm week mid March - got to enjoy the huge back porch and listen to the creek. House is great - and the bathroom is over the top! I enjoyed a bath in the claw foot. Just beautiful sunsets. Will bring bikes next time to check out the discovery trail a bit more - very easy to pick up in Blyn.
