About this property

Tranquil Casita in Tano West, Southwestern Skies, Sweeping View of the Sangres

This one-bedroom one-bath 860 sf casita is located in the hills northwest of Santa Fe, in an area of million dollar homes known as Tano Road. The casita is one of two houses on five acres located at the end of Camino Ladera. Both houses are well-situated to allow for privacy and to take full advantage of the incredible stillness and quiet this area affords.
As a seasoned traveler, you know Santa Fe, and you come here often. You make your pilgrimages to your favorite spots, The Shed or Tomasitas, and every year you add new favorites -- say, Vinaigrette and Arroyo Vinho. You've stayed in town, but lately have found it to be a bit hectic, and lacking in the almost mystical "space" that you have come to associate with the mystique of northern New Mexico.
This casita, in the hills of Tano West, provides that space. Just a 15 minute drive from the hubbub of the plaza to the sky and stars and quiet of Tano. Here, you will find that magical "space."
If you choose to have a morning with breakfast on the patio, the outdoor seating area basks in the panorama of the Sangre de Cristo mountains.
Relaxing for a few hours before the museum visit? The interior is bathed in the natural light for which New Mexico is famous. Skylights, traditional brick flooring, white walls and beamed ceilings enhance the clean, simple space.
Picked up some fabulous organic produce and meats from La Montanita Co-op? Grill on the patio and enjoy the fully stocked kitchen. Curl up on the couch and choose a good movie or two, rejuvenating yourself for the next day spent taking in the full ambiance and impressions of our lovely "city of holy faith." We understand what draws you to this amazing place, and we look forward to supporting your stay here.

Charming and Peaceful
The owner's description of this casita being outside the busyness of Santa Fe was exactly what I was looking for. It's only a 15-20 minute drive to anywhere in Santa Fe, and the drive is lovely. The casita is open and airy with lots of sunny windows, yet very cozy. There's a nice, wooden dining table in the middle of the place that's not shown in the photos. The property is well appointed, very private and wonderfully quiet. Outside the landscape is spacious and great for star gazing. It snowed one morning while I was there, and the view outside the windows was gorgeous. I had everything I needed and Liz was quick to respond to texts. I was very happy staying here for 5 nights and would stay here again.

Wonderful spot!
Solitude and peaceful place. Couldn't think of a thing that wasn't included included. Lovingly decorated and felt the New Mexico vibe all around us. For my first visit, it was memorable and would love to explore Santa Fe again.

Magical!
It was better than described. So secluded, private with beautiful sunrises. Perfect place to admire the purple pink sunsets and only minutes from town. Would recommend and stay again. ❤️❤️❤️
