Whitefish is located in northwestern Montana, at the northern most tip of the Flathead Valley and just 50 short miles south of the Canadian border and 30 miles west of Glacier National Park.
Valley Highlights...Our altitude is friendly, requiring little in the need for “altitude adjustment.” Elevation of the valley is only 3,000 feet and the top of the Big Mountain Summit is 6,817 feet. Whitefish Lake is 7 miles long. Here in this beautiful part of the state our weather averages a high of 30 F in January with a low of 15 F. Summer months, such as in July, you’ll find our weather in the high 80's F and averaging in the low 50's F.
USA Today lauded Whitefish as a perfect place to train for the Ironman Triathlon World Championships.
Golf Digest has named the Flathead Valley as one of the “50 greatest golf destinations in the world.” with breathtaking splendor on every course. Having 10 public golf courses within an hour’s drive from Whitefish, and mild year round climate, the Flathead Valley has become a premier golfer’s destination.
Vogue recently published an article entitled “Destinations of the Month Ski Towns USA.” Whitefish, MT was in the top five selected. You owe it to yourself to come visit 'the last best place' in Montana!

This town home is ideally located for ski in ski out with just a short walk to a trail which leads to the bottom of Chair 6. The home itself is very spacious and beautifully decorated (better than any other rental home we’ve experienced previously). The floor plan is rather unique, with 2 separate “great rooms” on either side of the kitchen. One has a cozy gas fireplace and comfortable chairs and couch for relaxing and reading by the fire. There is even a very nice chess set which we enjoyed. The other gathering space has a nice Samsung flat screen TV (Smart TV so can watch Netflix, stream Spotify, etc.) and comfortable couch and chairs. The kitchen is nothing short of outstanding with every thing needed to cook in. And I mean everything. There is even a supply of spices which I’ve never seen in a rental home. The bedrooms are spacious and outfitted with comfortable mattresses. The hot tub on the back deck was perfect after a long day on the slopes. This home is so comfortable and relaxing that it is hard to get motivated to explore the slopes or town! But I highly recommend spending time in the town of Whitefish which is just a short 10-15 minute drive down the mountain. The town has many quaint shops and an abundance of great restaurants and bars. We hope to come back and rent this home in the summer as we’d like to see Glacier National Park which is close by. In short, we HIGHLY recommend this home! It is worth every penny!!
Property was beautifully maintained and the town house was spacious. There are numerous activities for all ages. Our favorite was the Zip Line! Downtown Whitefish is a short drive as well as Glacier Park. For casual dining I would recommend Loula's. We will definitely return.
We had an awesome time at this amazing place. I would definitely recommend staying here. The location for skiing was ideal for our group.
We had a small family reunion/ 50 Birthday party. My sister could have gone anywhere to celebrate her milestone birthday, and she chose Whitefish MT. Next, we had to find a place where we could all stay, cook meals, and just socialize. This condo was perfect in every way for us! The size, the number of beds, big kitchen, there are even little extras here that they don't mention. There is a nice fire pit about 75 feet away, to tell ghost stories by... which we did! Whitefish was just down the mountain. The activities we did where Zipline at the Base Lodge, which is a short walk through the trees on a trail behind the condo. Alpine Slide was not ready by the time we left. Horseback riding near GNP, whitewater rafting on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, kayaking on Whitefish Lake, and renting a pontoon on Whitehead Lake.
The very best excursion was the Llama Trek.... totally amazing! And we did it in the pouring rain! We would all come back to the condo and tell each other about of day adventures. Didn't feel the need to go out for dinner, just an occasional lunch. We would recommend this condo for everyone. We are so happy the owners rent this place out, and take such good care of it. We are pleased!
The townhome was a fantastic place from our group of 12 to stay. We had 6 adults and 6 children ranging from the age of 5 to 17. The property is just as beautiful online as it is in person. The kitchen is fully equipped, the mattresses on the beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean and easy. The house gave us plenty of room to separate at the end of the day when were tired and grumpy. The drive to town is about 10 - 15 minutes and provides beautiful mountain views and lake views on the way down. At first, we were looking for something to stay closer to Glacier, but all the large homes close to Glacier were booked. We were at first concerned about the drive to Glacier, but ended up being ecstatic that this gave us access to the items at the Ski slope such as the Alpine slide, some hiking trails and plenty of deer to view on a daily basis. Plus being so close downtown Whitefish was a definite bonus. The drive to Glacier was about 40-45 minutes, but it was such an easy drive, that we did not even notice the length on most days. Fantastic home, I would definitely stay here again.
Wow, was the first words out of your mouth as you walk into this beautifully decorated property!! The location could not be better, we were able to walk around the corner and put on our skis and jump on the trail that leads to the base lodge. There were 3 families that stayed and tons of room, the kids took over the bunkbed room and each couple had there own room and own bathroom. The entrance area was roomy enough that we could all get ready for the ski hill at once. This place was worth every penny!
Shuttle bus service from the mountain to the town of Whitefish. Whitefish has a year round ice skating rink. The Wave in Whitefish is a full fitness center with drop-in daycare. Numerous cross country trails and a Nordic Center at the golf course. Dog Sledding Adventures, Snow mobile rentals. Great Northern Powder Guides is the only licensed cat skiing company in Montana for backcountry extreme cat skiing and cat snowboarding.
