This newly updated downtown home has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 family rooms, a large fenced backyard and covered patio area with nice barbeque and eating area for outdoor entertaining. The home is large enough to easily accommodate a large family or two smaller families traveling together.

The main floor includes 1 bathroom, 2 bedrooms (one queen and one full bed), family room with TV, dining area and kitchen with all new appliances and cabinets fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, and everything you need for cooking/baking/bbq.

The lower level includes the laundry room, one bathroom, and 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed and two twins which can be converted into a king bed). The lower level family room also has a sofa sleeper,gas fireplace, and TV.

This home is located within walking distance to The Coeur d'Alene Resort, downtown, city beach, city park, public library, centennial trail, hospital, North Idaho College, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Just a short drive will take you to Silverwood Theme Park, Schweitzer Ski Mountain and Silver Mountain Ski Resort.

About Kathy Capaul

I am proud to say that I am a Coeur d'Alene native born and raised in this great community. This was my first home, purchased in 1996, and recently we have completely renovated the home and made the decision to share it with visitors. Being new to the vacation rental pool we will do whatever we can to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We live and work in the community and being close by we are available to help with whatever it takes to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable.

I chose this home due to it's proximity to vibrant downtown and the beauty of the government way boulevard, especially during the fall. Centrally located you can walk to everything. The neighborhood is well kept and I love all of the older homes in the neighborhood that are being well cared for. Pride of ownership is definitely alive and well in our neighborhood.

Great location for our family visit

We booked this property quickly because my husband was in an accident and was staying at the rehabilitation hospital in Post Falls and we wanted to be near him for the Thanksgiving holiday. I’m so glad this house was available. The location was great, it was a short ten minute drive to the hospital. My children and I took advantage of the location by frequenting the Christmas lights downtown in the evenings. This was a very cute house that had everything we needed and Kathy was very accommodating. My only suggestions for families with very small children are that you might want to grab some paper or plastic plates/bowls because most of the dishes are glass. Also there is a steep staircase down to the basement with a door at the top but you may want a baby gate for the bottom. Overall this was a fantastic place to stay and hopefully we can come back again when my husband can join us to view the Christmas things downtown.

A great place for a family stay

My family very much enjoyed this home, and all of the little touches Kathy made to make us feel right at home. There was a fruit bowl on the kitchen table, coffee ready to go, even shampoo and soap in the shower. Do follow the instructions carefully if you visit in the summer, as the master bedroom can get unpleasantly warm if you do not use the fans along with the air conditioner. The location was great - within walking distance to the lake. We would definitely stay there again.

The property is very well kept and so cute! Exactly how it was explained on Homeaway.

The place was definitely a HomeAway from home. Kathy made the home feel very homey with shampoo, soap, and makeup remover packs in the bathrooms. All very important items to have for a house full of women.

I also greatly appreciated the water, fruit, granola bars, and k-cups that were provided.

The home is completely updated and ready for anyone to use, whether it's a family or a group of friends.

It's perfectly situated between downtown and where the grocery stores are. Very easy to find because it's on one of the main roads.

I highly recommend staying here as it is just perfect. :)

Great choice!

The home was lovely and perfect because we were traveling with a newborn. It was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was helpful with our requests and the instructions before and during our stay made our stay so easy. Also, it was located close to downtown so we could walk everywhere and the grocery store was just two blocks away. We would love to stay here again when we come back !
