Photos and Description of the Rhinebeck Village Business District vacation cottage rental

A 1938 Gabled Cottage In The Village Of Rhinebeck And A Local Artists Home!

Come stay with us in this fairy tale cottage in the beautiful, quaint village of Rhinebeck, NY and walk to everything! This eclectic 1938 cottage is truly one of kind and the home of a local artist who lovingly restored every aspect of this beautiful home. From the charming front porch to the back patio and fenced in yard this house is truly unique. Everyone who walks by this enchanted home stops to compliment it's appealing and endearing allure. This is the home of a local artist so their are special details throughout!

We have 3 charming bedrooms including an upstairs master with a queen bed and lots of interesting architectural details. Two comfortable size bedrooms on the lower level have twin beds and plenty of natural light. The living room is opened to the modern kitchen and has a Mitchell Gold queen sleeper sofa from the famous Rhinebeck shop, Hammertown Barn and is very comfortable. The open and cottage style kitchen has all of the amenities plus a great breakfast nook. The rocking chair front porch makes you feel like you've gone back in time. You'll feel like you've been transported to the French countryside without having to step on a plane! Special touches are everywhere with special attention given to every inch of this truly enchanted cottage! In addition this pristine home offers every amenity you could need to make your stay as comfortable as possible including wireless internet, cable, air conditioning, fans in every room, washer and dryer and lots of toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, pantry items, etc, etc. etc. We have quilts and blankets available to cuddle up in on a chilly evening. We have a backyard patio with comfortable chairs and a gas grill. The fenced in back yard has a natural cedar lattice fence so children and dogs can play safely while you are relaxing on the patio.

It will be hard to leave yet there is so much to see and do in Rhinebeck.

You'll be happy to return after an eventful day in and around Rhinebeck, including a fantastic dinner at one of Rhinebeck's famous restaurants and a great independent film at "Upstate Films". A day spent in historic Rhinebeck will be complete when you can walk "home" to the cottage and kick back on the rocking chair porch with a cold drink whipped up in the high powered blender. This house is truly "special" and we hope you will enjoy it as much as the owner does.

Additionally, Rhinebeck boasts the Old Rhinebeck Aerodome, know worldwide for it's daredevil antique air shows and accompanying museums. Another well known attraction, the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, features many exciting events, one of the largest county fairs in the east, craft shows, the Hudson Valley Wine and Food festival, antique shows, the famous Sheep and Wool Festival, car shows and the list goes on. The Country Living Fair is in June also where vendors come from all over the world to show their wares and crafts.

Several colleges are nearby including Bard College ( only 15 minutes away) with Vassar, Marist and the Culinary Institute of America not far at all. Rhinebeck is the perfect center for history jaunts to Olana, Montgomery Place, Clermont, Mills Mansion, Vanderbilt's Home and –- of course—FDR's home and library and Eleanor Roosevelt's home, Valkill in nearby Hyde Park.

Omega Institute is only a 15 minute drive so convenient for commuting there daily for a class or workshop. You can even go there for a day visit and eat in the Omega cafe and explore it's beautiful grounds.

There is a minipark steps away from the cottage with a gazebo, swings and playground for children to play. There is even an old fashioned liquor store four houses away!

Nature enthusiasts can climb Burger Hill and follow the path at “Poet's Walk. Ferncliff Forest has a huge Fire Tower where you can view the Hudson River, Catskill mountains and much of the Hudson Valley! Gold, horseback riding and skiing are all close by.

For a quaint and charming village like Rhinebeck there is so much to offer but we know you'll feel so relaxed and comfortable in our cottage that you won't be driven to leave. Of course when you do coming “home” will be a pleasure. You will truly enjoy your stay at “The Enchanted Cottage” in Rhinebeck.
