About Sandy

I've been living on the North Shore for over 20 years. My son was born in this duplex so it holds a special place in my heart. We loved the idea of a serene quiet space so close to Downtown Vancouver nestled in the forest. We would often sit on the patio and listen to the sounds of the river. We especially loved the eagles that made themselves at home in the area perched high up in the tree's (hence the name Eagles' Bluff) I currently live 10 minutes away so I am often available .

Sandy purchased this townhome in 2010

Why Sandy chose Edgemont

This is the only property we could find that was in the forest but so close to Downtown Vancouver. The space feels very secluded until you decide to venture out. It's fantastic for relaxing after a long hike which are minutes away or a trip to the city on your bike.

What makes this townhome unique

The serenity and open concept made us fall in love with this space. It is truly West Coast living. The kitchen and dining room & living room all open up to the patio. We would turn on the patio heater and stay up late nights talking on the deck. Everything is brand new. Beautiful hardwood floors. You can't beat the serene filling of listening the river and being amonst the forests. The master bedroom has a porch where you have clear views into the river.

Comfortable delight

  • 5 of 5

A great location - close to highways, the bridge, shopping and Grouse, yet very quiet, hearing the sounds of the river below.

A comfy residence with all the delights of a home away from home is the icing on the cake.

Perfect North Van townhouse!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place so much that we wanted to buy it. Sandy has furnished every room perfectly for guests' needs. Very comfortable/high quality bedding. Well stocked kitchen. Even some nice surprises like snacks in the cupboard for us. This townhouse is so close to every thing yet when you are sitting on the patio in the back, you feel so far away from it all. We loved that it wasn't cluttered and yet still felt homey. We can't wait to return.

Beautiful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience staying here. The property is very clean and is well stocked with all the necessities. It has a beautiful kitchen with high end appliances. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are really nice too. You feel like you are away from everything nestled in a forest with a river in the back that you can hear. There is a great furnished deck to hang out on which is so soothing and relaxing. The great thing is that you are close to everything like downtown, hiking trails and tourist attractions. I love this property for its large size and cozy feel. The owner is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. Wi-fi and Netflix are provided which is so convenient. I definitely recommend staying here and I will be staying here again.

Wonderful setting and beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home on our trip to Vancouver. We chose this home as it was conveniently located on the North Shore and close to trails for hiking which we love to do and close to the sights of the North Shore - short drive to Capilano Suspension Bridge and the mountains! Upon our arrival, we were immediately impressed with the location as the duplex sits amongst the forest and ravine. The patio was large enough to fit all of us and we spent most of our time out there as it was very soothing and tranquil to be among trees and water which is a far cry from the busy streets of Toronto where we're from. The inside was roomy enough for the 8 of us and featured a stunning kitchen with high end appliances where we enjoyed cooking dinner. Sandy was very helpful in assisting us with our booking and made herself available to us during our entire stay should we have had any questions. This is a great place to stay if you enjoy the outdoors and want to be among the mountains - very peaceful and still a short drive to downtown Vancouver to enjoy the sights there - it is truly the best of both worlds!

5 stars for my stay!

  • 5 of 5

I quite enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again for a few reasons. The duplex was larger than I imagined (which is never a bad thing). When we first arrived at the rental, it was spotless which I appreciate because first impression is everything. It was a very nicely furnished rental and up to date.

I love cooking so I made sure I took advantage of the awesome kitchen. The stainless steel appliances look brand new! All dishes & utensils were provided. We were able to save money by cooking at home. However, we were close enough to downtown Vancouver so, if we wanted to enjoy the night life we could easily do so.

Lastly, it overlooked the forest which was a relaxing change. I would have a glass of wine on the patio and see a beautiful forest, I cannot complain! Further, I love being outdoors so we made sure we took advantage of the trails nearby.

This is a great place and if you are looking for a rental that is large, clean, great patio and a beautiful view book here! Plus, it is close to downtown Vancouver so you get the best of both worlds.

Thank you for sharing your home.
