BRIGHT CENTRAL LOCATION: on Booth Canal less than 2km (1 1/2mi) from Ganges and 4km from Vesuvius and just 7-15 minutes from all ferry terminals.

THE HOUSE: Featuring hardwood flooring this home soaks in the sun’s warmth from its southern exposure and is made cozy on cool days with a woodstove. Heated tiles in the welcoming entry lead to a spacious living area by a large central kitchen. Windows open to rural views and gardens on all sides. A large elevated sundeck with a barbecue gives easy access to the pleasures of the day.

FULL SOUTHERN EXPOSURE: This bright comfortable home offers all the sun you could want to lift your spirits from dawn to dusk . When we first walked onto this rural property, it was flooded with sunlight and we have been delighted to discover that even on overcast days, there is still good, bright light. We noticed the trees, the privacy and how very comfortable it all was. There was an energy about the place that was soft, healing and welcoming.

NATURE: Wrapped in the embrace of Nature, this quiet garden property is a refuge, away from the sounds of traffic, offering a rural outlook across the water to farmland, forests and mountain--with the rhythmic ebb and flow of tidal changes to enjoy throughout the day. Great Blue Herons and Blue Jays are regular visitors. An eagle nest is visible across the Canal.

In the evening the geese fly home to the tidal flats directly in front of the house to preen themselves and ready for night. It is so calming to feel the confidence of these creatures as they follow the quiet certain order of their lives. As the sun moves into the dusk of evening, it is such a treat to watch it fill the Canal with brilliance: the water's surface reflecting a hot coal-bright sky, before it finally surrenders to the oncoming night.

GARDEN: There are so many different ways to experience the gardens. From the brick patio, the garden table and chairs, or the deck table and chairs; strolling through the vegetable garden, watching the fruit trees bloom and bear fruit, enjoying the tall conifers, pines, fir and cedar that stand guard at the periphery of the property, the profusion of flowers through the spring and into the summer.

PRIVACY: Full, high green hedges give complete privacy from neighbours on left and right. .

FLOATING RAMP: extends onto the water and tidal flats for spectacular sunset views down the canal to the west
