ABOUT THIS CONDO. This is a 2230 square foot (plus 1310 sq ft Lanai/Garden) GROUND FLOOR Ocean Front (3) bedroom (3) bathroom condominium in the Honua Kai Resort Konea tower.

This home has been custom furnished by interior designer Natasha Plitt, and is part of the Makai Collection at Honua Kai, a selection of residences showcasing the very best of resort living on Ka’anapali Beach, Maui. It features a prime oceanfront location, has expansive indoor and outdoor living spaces, contemporary resort furnishings, and endless Maui sunsets. It provides a unique take on island living not easily found elsewhere on West Maui with a Viking gas BBQ outdoor kitchen, oversized lanai. Inside, the home features a open concept living area complete with a Viking gourmet kitchen, Vitamix blender, a dining area for up to eight (8) guests, two (2) master bedrooms with ensuite, a 3rd bedroom and bathroom, insuite laundry, and Honua Kai's first Savant Home Automation system where you can control everything including the lighting and drapes with a touch of a button. Including 6 Sonos audio zones and room subscribed Spotify account for music streaming.

As for the sleeping arrangements and other amenities, it has a King Bed in all 3 bedrooms (guest bedroom is splittable into twins), and a Queen sofa sleeper in living. All rooms have their own flat screen TV's with cable. A Blu-Ray DVD is available in the living room. Wireless AC Fast Internet is also included free of charge.

Only the Ground Floor units offer tall 11' ceilings, oversized lanai's, and very quick and easy access in and out (from the after market keyed Lanai or condo door) ... no elevators needed. This ground floor ocean front residence has direct access to the pools and the beach and its lanai opens up to lush lawns & walkways with views of the ocean. My unit is conveniently located in the middle of the resort and is not located on the outside end caps of either tower.

Included also are many extra personal touches from a proud owner in the condo such as an iHome alarm clocks, keyed lanai, Vitamix blender, bathroom stools, and many other owner supplied goodies for your use such as beach chairs, a beach umbrella, an ice chest, boogie boards, beach towels, two pack n play's with a 3" thick mattress, bed bumpers, strap on booster seat, etc.

Swimming and Snorkeling. Walk to whalers village, etc. Or head the opposite direction (North) to visit Honokowai Beach Park (great for the little ones), the farmers market, and local organic food store.

Known Construction / Maintenance Disclaimer: Luana Development Parters LP will be building 72 townhouses in the area. The work will be in the empty grass field on the east side of Honua Kai (non-ocean side) beyond the path that circles the bowl between the two towers. These are 2 story homes. A fence will be constructed to limit dust and views of the work. Construction starts on Feb 5, 2018. This unit, Konea 102, does not face the construction but rather faces the ocean. Construction may be seen when looking out of south facing windows at an extreme angle. It is considered an un-impacted unit.

Why Brandon Mullenberg chose Lahaina

We love Maui and after staying at Honua Kai Resort for the first time in 2009, we fell in love with this place. It was perfect for us. We have always struggled to find a nice condo with all the amenities we were looking for. Honua Kai Resort was the answer for us and that was what initially brought me to purchase my first condo at Honua Kai. Since then I have purchased 5 more ground floor units and now have 6. In my opinion ground floor units are the most convenient and the absolute best. They have quick and easy access to the outside, the pool, and everything else. We just love this place.

If you can't have a good time here.....

Our group of 7 stayed at Konea 102 for 11 nights. Thoroughly enjoyed the property, the grounds, pools, oceanwalk and central access to all things we wanted to do.

Being on the ground floor, steps away from the Hot Tubs and beach was a real plus. 102 has everything you need for an ideal Maui vacation. Cooler, Beach Chairs, Boogie boards and Umbrellas made it very easy to enjoy a day at the beach. Evenings we'd run out to Fish Market Maui, up the road about 1/2 a mile and grab some fresh fish for grilling in the evenings. Kids enjoyed spotting geckos during the day and frogs at night.

Large luxurious condo steps from pools and the bea

This is without a doubt the nicest place we've ever stayed. The pictures are beautiful but they honestly do not do it justice! Every morning when I woke up and went out to the great room, I tried to figure out a wait to never leave. Each family couple had its own luxurious bedroom and bathroom, and the unit was equipped with everything we could have imagined, including a Vitamix blender, Alexa, and mini ipad that controlled the AMAZING Sonos system, drapes and more. Honestly, we never wanted to leave. The manager, Monte, couldn't have been better, and the owner Brandon responded to our every question immediately. I miss this place so much.

Memorable stay!

We were a group of 8 with 2 seniors and 3 kids under the age of 7.

What was great about the condo itself:

It had everything we needed, including some water/beach equipment that would have been too bulky to pack in our luggage. The kitchen is furnished with top of the line appliances and stocked with everything you would need to prepare/cook/eat your meals. All you need is to purchase the food. All the rooms were very spacious. They have also provided some things that were a must for people with infants/toddlers, like bed rails/bumpers, pack n play, booster and water toys for the kids that previous guests have left. Everything in the condo was in great condition.

What was great about the unit, in relation to the resort:

The unit is on the ground floor and was perfect for our group. It was very convenient to the pool/beach, Duke's (restaurant) and garage access. We didn't have far to go in case we had a lot of stuff to carry or if we forgot something in the room. There might have been a lot of traffic from people walking to the pool or beach but you wouldn’t notice it due to the landscaping.

What is great about Honua Kai as a resort:

The staff we interacted with around the property were very nice. We didn't require a whole lot of help but they were always willing to help. If you have a lot of stuff to unload from the car, the property manager, Monty, suggested we valet. They helped us unload the cars and bring our stuff to our room and park the car. All we had to do was tip them. They were also really fast when picking up our car. We did not have any issues with the unit or the resort at all.

Honua Kai is also very convenient and within walking distance to a supermarket, a farmer's market, good local coffee place (Bad Ass) and local restaurants that you could walk to them. There was no need to drive far for anything, unless you wanted to go somewhere else for the experience.

There is also great snorkeling right from the beach. So many colorful and different variety of fish. We even saw turtles one day. It was good enough that we didn't have to take the kids to Molokini to snorkel.

Overall, it was a great trip. Maui is a beautiful island and anyone would have a great time visiting. I feel our trip was even more memorable because of our stay at Honua Kai. The condo was comfortable that we felt very much at home. You won't go wrong by staying here. If we could go back every year, we would stay at Konea 102 each time!

Honua Kai is incredibly well maintained and a perfect getaway. 3 adult couples stayed in the unit and the only thing we had to provide was food. The kitchen has every utensil required for the gormet home chef! Complete home sound system was fantastic for every occasion. PERFECT!!!

Amazing Trip to Maui:-)

Our recent stay at Honua Kai Unit 102 was absolutely fabulous! The condo was perfect for our family (including my husband, two children, parents and sister) to all stay in the same place. The bedrooms, as well as the living/dining area, were spacious so that we had plenty of room for everyone. It was comfortable, clean and made for a very relaxing vacation. We enjoyed breakfast out on the patio each morning and cooked dinner in a few of the nights. It was great having the beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, beach towels, etc for us to use. We loved being able to walk right out the patio doors down to the pool or beach as opposed to having to go down an elevator or through a building. It was like having our own private yard with access to the pool and beach. It was convenient having the Whaler's General Store in the lobby area as well. We had two young children with us and the accommodations worked great for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this unit to someone looking for accommodations in the Ka'anapali area. When we are able to make another trip to Maui, we would definitely consider staying here again!
