Aimee G from Lafayette, CA recommends this vacation rental

I can't say enough great things about this studio. It's super cute and well-decorated, the kitchen is well-appointed and the beds were very comfortable. The best part is that the location could not be more fabulous. You walk out the door and can be on the slopes - or in the village - in minutes. We will definitely, definitely be back.

Location cannot be beat right in Northstar Village, yet oh so quiet!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect fit for my friend and I to stay. We had no plans to cook, but having the sink and little refrigerator was useful as well as the dishes, glasses, etc. We did not use the hotplate. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom was great. We will be back. We stayed days before ever using our vehicle. Walked everywhere in the village. Thank you!

1 MONTH LATER, THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY HAS NOT REFUNDE ME FOR A ONE NIGH OVERCHARGE ON MY RESERVATION

  • 1 of 5

In addition to the fact that the management company has not refunded my account for a 1-night overcharge, they made a month ago, I have never spent 5-nights at a place that does not offer additional clean towels, extra toilet paper, etc. Don't expect much if you rent this studio. It needs to have a good cleaning; as you open the door, the smell of dirty feet overwhelms you; we spent our first three hours there with the doors open to try to get rid of the smell. Despite our attempt, the smell never went away. Don't expect to get any sleep; the studio is extremely noisy ALL night with the beeping noise of snow cleaning machines in front and back of the studio. There is NO underground parking; prepare to spend about 30 minutes or so getting your car unburied from the snow; if you are lucky getting help from people walking by. The WiFi never worked during our 5-day stay; we were promised it would get fixed, but no one ever came. The WiFi next door worked, the people next door told us theirs did work. Bring your shampoo, etc.; you will not have anyone come by to service the room. There are no ski lockers; prepare yourself to carry all your equipment up and down stairs.

Owner's Response: We regret the oversight in getting the credit to you on time. As you know, this year has had extreme weather conditions. The snow plows have to work long hours to get the snow removed during heavy conditions - it's rare. Unfortunately this is out of our control and occurred during your stay. This is a privately owned condo and is not a "hotel" which offers daily maid service. There are washer/dryers on the premise for your use. The internet issue has been resolved. Not sure about the smell. We have NEVER had a complaint about that. We wish you would have informed us while you were here. There are ski lockers in the Village to avoid having to bring them to your unit each day. You are the only guest that has had these issues with this property. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences.

Small, noisy room in Northstar village.

  • 1 of 5

We were kept awake on Friday night and Saturday night by the back up alarm of snow moving equipment operating in the parking lot behind the building. We appreciate that this equipment performs an important function. However, it's not clear how we were supposed to sleep with this incessant beeping. This alarm should have been disabled, being so close to 'sleeping' customers. There were enough flashing lights on the equipment to warn of its presence without the need for the alarm. We have video of the equipment taken at 4am on Saturday morning which we will send by email. As a result we slept poorly and were exhausted. We left the resort on Sunday to avoid being kept awake all Sunday night again. We were extremely disappointed with our stay, and will certainly not be back.

Great location, 2 minutes walking to the lifts!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here with 2 little kids for about 7 days, overall it was great experience. Few issues we noticed: the refrigerator and microwave was kind of smelly. We also ran out of toilet paper, shampoo and all that stuff, they didn't clean the room on a regular basis while you stay (not a big deal to bring it with you or buy it in Safeway - 6 miles away). Internet didn't work in our room, we had LTE hotspot, so it didn't bother us as well.

clean and great location

  • 4 of 5

The studio was very cleaned and has everything we need. I just personally dont like to cook with a tiny portable stove and the only one pot. One problem is the assigned parking lot that was often got used by the other car, in our case it was a Tesla. We had to ran back and fourth to the security office to report and we parked at another assigned lot, before that car moved out. And the problem happened again when we drove out for dinner, it was so frustrating!
