Overview

About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

Don’t just go to the coast - gaze at it from the comfort of your cozy beach vacation rental. This Oceanside condo, Chinook #8, is newly remodeled and boasts an uninterrupted view of the wild and wonderful Northern Oregon Coast. You don’t even have to leave your dog at home as this oceanfront condo is dog-friendly.

The small, quiet town of Oceanside, and even nearby Netarts, are made for vacations in which you can get away from it all. This complex is only nine miles west of the Tillamook Cheese Factory at which you can do light grocery shopping (don’t forget the “squeaky cheese”). The town also has full supermarkets. Once you park at this complex, located on the southern side of Cape Meares, you'll feel compelled to stay put and enjoy every moment.

With the sigh-inducing views of the Three Arch Rocks and spacious sandy shore from both inside the modern rental and on the shared deck, you'll have a new happy place. A beach-themed decor story extends throughout the two-bedroom home, so you'll be fully immersed in an ocean atmosphere.

Once the sun sets, feel free to indulge in a little TV time with the mounted flatscreen equipped with cable and a DVD player. Fix snacks in the in the fully stocked open-concept kitchen. In the morning, you'll be awakened by soft steps of your friends on the hardwood floors as they fix coffee and breakfast.

Six guests can choose to sleep in the master king-size bedroom, the queen room, or even on the sofa sleeper (closest to the best sea views!). The contemporary condo even has two bathrooms with heated tile floors.

Of course the beach steps from your door is dog friendly. Up to two dogs are allowed with an additional fee. Since this is a ground-floor unit, it's easily accessible when you have excited dogs or guests with limited mobility. If you drive an electric vehicle, there's no need to worry about battery life - there are two Tesla-specific and one standard charging stations!

Staying in and sharing a homemade feast is nice, but Oceanside has two friendly eateries that might be a nice stop after a visit to Cape Meares Lighthouse three miles to the north. If you're coming from the east, be sure to stop through Tillamook for ice cream and all the samples of cheese you'd want at the local factory.

Comfy, contemporary, and in a quaint town, the Chinook #8 condo in Oceanside should be your next home away from home!

* Please note that while this property has a Verizon cell phone signal booster, reception can be spotty in Oceanside. For more reliable cell service, you may want to drive just a couple miles south to Netarts. For your convenience, there is an outside phone available under the carport with free long distance if needed.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

What a view!

 • 5 of 5

Such a splendid view of the ocean and the beach! A cute place, very comfortable and functional. Absolutely loved staying here and would stay again. You can walk down to the beach right from the deck or just walk a few minutes to get to the beach entrance if you have a dog that doesn't like stairs.

Amazing!!

 • 4 of 5

We loved our time in Oceanside & this rental too. The location is 5 Star, the view is 5 Star, the furnashibgs we’re 5 Star (Which can be tricky with all that sand at the beach!!), the deck is 5 Star & the beach access too. The only down side were the paper-thin walls in the bedrooms. Luckily for us our neighbors weren’t amourous, just coughs & snorey— but it was like they were in the room with us. Also while I was in the bathroom I could hear the neighbors’s conversation. As I mentioned, we had respectful neighbors who used their “inside voices” but I could see it being a problem with a roudier group next door.

Comfortable, updated cottage feel with a front and center ocean view.

 • 5 of 5

Oceanside feels off the beaten path in the off-season, and this place is the perfect venue. It's small but that's what we were looking for rather than a huge house for the two of us. Two very nice bedrooms with baths off of each. Both baths are right off the kitchen so everything feels connected. It's definitely cozy so go with people you're comfortable being around. The heated floors in the bathroom set the tone, updated and functional. The kitchen is perfect for managing meals. Full size fridge and small dishwater are super convenient. But the kicker is the view. Two large bay windows looking out over the beach to the sea. Bring binoculars or a scope, because the whales and seals are just beyond the surf. Watch birds, surfers, crab boats...whatever happens you'll see it. We'd say it's more than dog friendly, with a nice outdoor hot water shower to wash the sand of your dog. Bring some dog towels as we didn't find any in the unit and assumed they didn't want us to use the bath towels. Bring a dog bed too, there are extra blankets but none that we felt were intended for our dog. There's a nice deck to sit on but you don't really need it given your front row seat. There's stairs from the deck to the beach but the public beach is about 100 yards away so we used that most of the time. Last note on parking, one spot is available but it's tight, so if you have a choice take a small car. My Tacoma was at the limit in my opinion. Street parking in the winter is available but limited, in the peak season forget about it. The place is truly amazing and perfect in the off season. We'll be back!

Beautiful View, not-so-clean

 • 2 of 5

Great view, great layout, but the home wasn't very clean. Specifically, the floors & furniture were covered with dog hair.

Gorgeous view but not-so-clean

 • 3 of 5

This property is right on the beach. It's nicely decorated and a great layout. It's the PERFECT size for a 4 person family. That said, we were disappointed with all of the dog hair on the floors and furniture, it was if it hadn't even been cleaned.

Owner's Response: We apologize for the pet hair. We have done an extensive cleaning to remove the pet hair to the best of our abilities. Being a pet friendly home, there will be the occasional pet hair present.
