Basic Lake Tahoe house at a good price. If you're looking for value, this is your house. It's a little long in the tooth and the shower in the master bath is in need of a serious update, but for the money, its hard to beat. Note, it's located on a busy road too. Management company that runs the place is very responsive.
We celebrated Thanksgiving in this cabin as 4 individual family units (Grandma, 2 grown children and their children, and one grown grandchild with his wife and child). The layout of this cabin was perfect for us. It is listed to sleep 8, but really could hold 13 - 15 if necessary. My husband and I took the master bedroom, which has a queen bed and a futon-type sofa. We moved the futon sofa into the large (12x12') master closet to make an adjacent room for our teenage son. Grandma was able to sleep with one grandchild in the room with 1 full bed and 1 twin, my brother, his wife, and their daughter were able to take the room with the full bed and twin bunk beds, and my oldest son was able to take the roll-out sofa bed in the laundry room with his wife, and their daughter took the second bunk in the previous room with her cousin. The full bathroom downstairs served the three downstairs bedrooms. The master bedroom is upstairs on the same floor as the common area and has it's own private, full bathroom, and there is a half-bath adjacent to the living room. This created a perfect environment where everyone had their own private areas to retreat tok, while the common area was still plenty enough space for everyone to gather together. the fire place is functional, so we grabbed duraflame logs at the nearby Safeway to enjoy it. Each room has it's own individual temperature controls, but the cabin stays VERY warm at night so we hardly needed to use the heaters at all. The water pressure is FABULOUS too, and there is a HUGE water heater in this cabin so we had plenty of hot waters for everyone's showers. The living room would benefit from having one more loveseat or small sofa added to it, to increase seating. The kitchen was well equipped enough for us to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for our large group. Full fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, and all the dishes, pots and pans, etc., we needed. There is lake view from the livingroom windows. Only negatives were that furniture, carpet, linoleum, dishes, towels, bedding, etc., were mismatched and dated, but all were very clean. Mattresses weren't high-end pillow tops, but they sufficed. Maid service overlooks cobwebs in the high, vaulted ceilings, but we looked past those too. Overall, we were very comfortable and happy here and had a great stay!!!
The house was great and everything. All the places you need to go are all near by and the lake and the lake is right across the street and it's beautiful. The only thing about this house is that it hasn't a Ouija board and I don't think it's safe if you have kids with you. Also in the night you can hear things like footsteps but who knows maybe we were being peranoid but that was the only problem besides that it was good.
