Port Hueneme is a hidden gem, located on the California coast, between Malibu and Ventura. This quiet little beach town, with it's clean, family-friendly beach, fishing pier, and gorgeous clear views of the Channel Islands is a relaxing and convenient step off location for day trips to Santa Barbara, Ventura, Malibu, Santa Monica, Hollywood and the rest of the Los Angeles metro area.

Listen to the waves as you relax in this gorgeous Port Hueneme Condo. Newly renovated and beautifully decorated and fully furnished, this 2-bedroom, one bath condo comfortably sleeps 6. It is conveniently located only 100 yards from the lovely white sandy beach. Located on the third floor (comfortably accessed by adjacent elevator), enjoy peek-a-boo views of the pier from the nicely furnished deck. In addition to being fully equipped with all cooking and eating utensils, the condo also has an electric barbecue, beach mats, chairs, towels, sand toys and boogie boards. Complex has a large indoor pool, spa, game room and a fitness gym. * Although seldom needed anyway, please note that the unit does not have air conditioning. Air conditioning is not permitted by the city of Port Hueneme in any home adjacent to the beach.

There are numerous local activities to enjoy in the area. Enjoy a fresh seafood dinner at the Seafood Restaurant at the pier, visit the weekly Farmer's Market, bike or walk the nature trails, enjoy a lighthouse tour. Go whale watching or boating out of the harbor. Take a Channel Islands boat trip to explore the adjacent islands up close and personal. Camarillo Outlets are minutes away, as is downtown Ventura, with it's abundant shopping, marina, boat rentals, restaurants, and night life. Visit the Carnegie Museum in downtown Oxnard, or the nearby Maritime Museum. Port Hueneme Naval base is 1/2 mile away. You can see the Navy ships coming into port. Local festival and concerts are abundant, including the Ventura County Fair and our own Port Hueneme Beach Fest!

We provide soap, softener, and bleach for the washing machine and liquid soap for the dishwasher. We also provide toilet paper and paper towels. We do not provide bar soap, shampoo, and conditioner. These items are personal use items and only you will want to use a new packaged item and not the next tenant. We take pride in providing a healthy and clean, sanitized environment for guests, and these complementary cleaning supplies are provided for routine maintenance so that you will have a supply to start off your vacation.

Port Hueneme stay
I've stayed in VRBO facilities for 3 years always in August. This is the best as far as the kitchen goes. It is the most well equipped and recently remodeled with new appliances. There is a washer and dryer in the unit which are not new but they get the job done. The location and the building are fairly quiet but traffic outside the balcony gets loud at times but that wasn't really an issue for me. There is an indoor pool; I prefer outdoors but again, not an issue. This is a security building with gated entrance and exit, a key necessary for the elevator as well. The host was responsive to my needs and I appreciated that. The location could be better in terms of being closer to supermarkets and restaurants but if you have a car it isn't a problem.

Great base of operations
My wife and I had a great time staying for one month, using Port Hueneme as our base of operations for tons of activities in the Ventura County area. The property was great, and the apartment complex had ease of access to many walking routes. Everything was clean and check-in/check-out was a breeze.

Port Hueneme Condo
The unit was nice and clean. The complex in general was not well maintained. The beach was nearby and not crowded. Good place to watch surfers. Needs better lighting in the bedrooms. Needs towel rods in the bathroom. It was great to have a washer and dryer in the unit. One bedroom mattress was comfortable and one needs to be replaced.

Very nice kitchen and living room, but rest of unit needs major decluttering
We enjoyed the indoor pool and easy access to beach. The condo unit was pretty much as depicted online. Kitchen and living room were attractive and modern. Bedrooms, bath and laundry area need some major decluttering. We had expected to move some of the excess "coastal" decor into closets or cabinets, but there was no available space. Owner responded quickly to our questions about setting up internet. Check in was almost 3 hours late, but that was because previous renters left such a mess. Cleaning crew did an excellent job, so I understand why it took longer than usual.

My husband and I were so pleased with our stay in Ira's condo. Very spacious and well decorated as a beach theme. Check in was easy. Enjoyed the fitness center and access to the beach.
