Amazing Place on the water

  • 5 of 5

The house is absolutely beautiful. Views from the house and the back patio are even more stunning than the photos show. Nathan was super easy to communicate with and quick to return any messages. The house was stocked with all essentials already. We really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it to anybody interested.

Great house

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful vacation here. Nathan was terrific in helping us arrange everything for our family. The house is beautiful and views are spectacular. The house really is exceptionally well-equipped, with all bedding and towels, plus a great kitchen with good knives, cookware and plenty of dishes and glasses. It is very clean and well-maintained. The main deck features a great grill which we used several evenings.

Nathan says all you have to bring is food and that is true. But you will want to bring some wine to sip on the deck as you watch the sun set too.

The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, and the seating areas are very comfortable, with plenty of room for a big group.

The only note of caution: This house is really on a high hill. We knew it when we rented, and decided to take the house anyway because it was so beautiful. My wife has mobility issues, and the many steps were a challenge, but she made it.

From the road, you climb a steep drive and then go up about 20 steps to go in the door on the main level, or you can go in the lower level and climb several stairs inside. From the road to the dock at lake level it is more than 50 steps, a significant climb for older renters. We did it but it was a challenge.

The dock has a wonderful deck which is in great shape. They have two paddle boards and a canoe, as well as great chairs for sunbathing and a picnic table for snacking. The swimming in the lake was wonderful. Just remember to wear your water shoes, because of sharp stone and shells on the bottom.

Beautiful "Light House" home on Finger Lakes

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Light House was fabulous! The home is simply beautiful and location perfect. We ended up renting Nathan's boat and used the tube & paddle boards daily. The home had everything & was very clean! Only things you need to bring are clothes & food. Would consider packing one extra set of bath towels. Sheets, comforters & towels were of great quality unlike some other rentals we stayed in so this was a plus. The steps down to water were not a big deal. Great street for walking or running. Nathan was so helpful and always returned calls promptly. Thank you for a fabulous stay & making your guests feel right at home. Highly recommend this beautiful lake house!

Beautiful Views/Immaculate Home!

  • 5 of 5

If I could give this home 10 stars, I would! Not only was the owner extremely helpful and insightful on any questions I had leading up to and during our stay, but the house itself was just amazing! Fully updated and stocked (as advertised) for all of our needs. The house was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed overall. We had all of the amenities that we needed, and more! We really enjoyed the multiple decks that we could all spend time outside on and grill as well as the private dock.

I would highly recommend this house to any/all friends or relatives that are wanting a nice serene vacation up at the Finger Lakes. A few girlfriends and I have already discussed coming back next year with our significant others and children.

We did a small wine tour on Saturday and really enjoyed Arbor Hill Brew n Brats the most. The owner, John, was extremely accommodating and made us feel right at home. This was a smaller family owned/operating establishment and they really have done an amazing job with the place.

Gorgeous home with wonderful views.

  • 5 of 5

Can we move in we loved the place! We truly enjoyed our stay. The owner, Nathan was very attentive to my inquiries prior to and during our stay. There were so many amenities and attention to details that it is hard to list all the little things provided for us that we did not expect but I'll try.

Because the limbs from the trees were cut we had an excellent view of the lake and mountains from all the rooms except the ground floor. We enjoyed the two front decks. The table and chairs were comfortable and we spent several nights watching the sunset there. We live in the city and the quietness of the location was very relaxing. We loved the Adirondack chairs which all had leg rests and the chimea was cute and functional. The grill came in handy we cooked on it several nights

My husband who likes to cook gave the kitchen two thumbs. It was spacious, well laid out and well supplied with all necessities and then some. I especially enjoyed the Keurig coffee machine

The pantry was well stocked with garbage bags, plastic wrap, foil, paper cups plate napkin, and plastic containers. The dining room table was spacious.

The living room chairs and couch were very comfortable. I loved the gray rug there because it was soft and looked great with the chairs. There was even a lighter, fire starter, matches, and logs by fireplace. The sun porch was very inviting and the couch was comfortable enough for me to take a nap.

The bedrooms were spacious comfortable and had great views except the entry level room. We enjoyed the high end touches like the soft sheets, blankets, and comforters. I loved the large closets with shelving and nice hangers especially the walk in master closet that had a line of hooks along the wall.

We were grateful for the strategically placed night lights in hall ways and bathrooms.

There were plenty of bathrooms. Two of three full bathrooms had small seats in the shower and the top floor bathroom had a toilet and shower separated from double sinks by a pocket door, which was handy for multiple users. The half bath was conveniently located on the main floor across from the laundry room. The bathrooms were also well supplied with toilet paper, body wash and hand soap as well as comfy bath rugs, soft towels and shower mats. There were plenty of towel racks and hooks.

It’s all the little touches like toothbrush holders and matching soap dispensers that made this a great place to stay. The only downside was the driveway which was steep.

Absolutely beautiful property, lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely lake house for two weeks in mid-August 2016. It was the perfect spot for a summer getaway for our family of 6 (we have 4 young children) with plenty of extra room for grandma and grandpa and aunts and uncles and cousins to come and visit. The home is huge, spotlessly clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and very well-stocked. The view of the lake is breathtaking as the house is situated higher up on the hill than most; the lake can be seen from almost every room. Even on summer weekend days the area (street and lake) was very quiet; we felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves. Getting from the lake back up to the house is a bit of a hike with lots of stairs and a steep driveway. This didn't bother us however, as we were happy to have a natural barrier from the water with our small children. The small access road between the back of the house and the lake access is a non-issue (even with kids) as the street is small and sees very little traffic. Nathan was fantastic to work with - friendly, responsive, and extremely helpful. Any issue that came up during our stay (and there were very few) was addressed immediately. Can't say enough about this lovely home or the wonderful owner. Hope to be back again.
