A Great Place to Stay for the ACS Meeting

  • 5 of 5

When we decided to take a bunch of students to NOLA for the ACS meeting, we decided to try to find a house to rent rather than paying the exorbitant hotel prices. We found Dave's place and it was the right size for all of us (3 faculty and 9 students, one guy and the rest women!!). What a great find! We used both units and had plenty of space! The houses were clean and there were plenty of towels - important for that many women. And the location was excellent as well being near Magazine Street. Dave was an excellent host - whenever I saw him, he asked how we were doing and if there was anything we needed. He suggested some local places to eat/drink and actually treated us at the NOLA brewery!! I would highly recommend this place and would consider staying there again on future trips to NOLA!!!

Stay with extended family over spring break

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. David was a great host and very helpful. The property is just 2 blocks from Magazine Street, which has lots of great restaurants and shops. And just beyond Magazine you can catch the St. Charles streetcar into the French Quarter. The neighborhood is nice, quiet and friendly. There is also a great park one block behind David's place. We will definitely stay here again.

A Month Stay over New Years 2018

  • 5 of 5

WOW! All I can say is,"Thank you David, for everything you did to make our stay the Magic that it was". We arrived in NOLA on the 28th of December 2017 and ended our stay on January 28th 2018. Although there were no more than # of us at any one time the Apartment was equipped with 3-Bedrooms. The first floor bedroom could have accommodated a couple on a full size bed and a single on a twin bed. The second floor had 2 bedrooms, one with two queen beds and the other with a full and a twin. There was a bathroom on both floors and a washroom in the lower bathroom, fully stocked with everything you need to do laundry. The kitchen was great. Being a Chef I need a good space and working environment...It was all that. There was a kitchen table and bar stools that pulled up to a kitchen breakfast bar. The living room was nice size with a nice couch and extra chairs. The 36" screen TV was perfect for those late night ME TIME moments when the rest of the house was asleep. There were a couple of glitches when we first got there but not to worry David was available and handled everything immediately. The fact that David was willing to work with us for an extended stay over the New Years Holiday was more than we could believe and after removing out party hats and beads, we were able to explore the city like we lived there. The house was clean, the beds had more sheets and pillows than an army could use and the abundance of clean towels made showering a breeze. OH and I can't forget the outside space on the roof. There were many times when I sat out there in the sun and drank a mornings cup of coffee to the chirping of birds. For what we got it probably should have cost double what we paid. If you are a group of couples and are looking for a house that gives Three couples (or more) amazing space and clean accommodations I highly recommend this house. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the French Quarter but the Trolley, a couple of blocks away drops you right off at Canal Street and Bourbon Street. The neighborhood is quiet and there are a couple of schools and churches in the area. There are a couple of neighborhood bars and Corner food stores. Magazine Street has many shops and restaurants and there is a great Cemetery right down Washington Street (walking distance). Across the street from the Cemetery is "Camander's Palace" A First Class Restaurant for Fine Dining. It's a bit pricey but the food is "To Die For"! No pun about the Cemetery! lol Go for it!

Great house and a fantastic location!

  • 5 of 5

This house was the perfect place for our girls weekend! It was plenty of space for 8 of us to feel right at home. David was very helpful throughout the process and always available for questions about New Orleans. We will definitely book this again if we make it back!

Comfortable, clean, friendly owner

  • 5 of 5

The house was so comfortable and clean with all the comforts of home. The beds were so comfortable too.

David is so friendly and helpful. We had questions while staying and he was very responsive. Neighborhood is quiet but not too far from Magazine St. We would definitely recommend this house.
