The Neighborhood
Beautiful 360% views, in a neighborhood of 12-acre plots. You’ll almost never hear a neighbor other than the natives with wings or 4 legs. There’s one house past ours so a car drives by just very occasionally.
Peruse some of our favorites from the cornucopia of cultural and natural treasures this area has to offer, year-round, on the "Visiting Santa Fe" page of our website (contact us for web address). Santa Fe is renown for culinary delights, pure air and vibrant colors (geographically, artistically and culturally).
Getting Around
We live on a dirt road, 1 and ½ miles from pavement, near to the Turquoise Trail (Hwy 14). An all-wheel drive vehicle is occasionally needed during winter, otherwise any car can (slowly) handle the road.
If you prefer to come without a car, airport transport can be arranged (we'll take you shopping for groceries on the way in from the airport and can give rides to and from town most days.)
Other Things to Note
With a pure taste for drinking and tea-brewing, our annually tested, filtered well water is chemical free. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-burner stove-top, large-sized mini-fridge (rated as the quietest, it’s also cabinet-enclosed and insulated for further quiet), large toaster oven, electric kettle, Bialetti percolator, good kitchenware and basic supplies (teas, flour, sugar, oil, herbs, spices (all mostly organic). We’ll happily share other pots, spices and extra fridge space in our house.
No smoking of any kind (indoors or outdoors), no recreational drugs, moderate alcohol consumption only.
We love them, but in consideration of guests with allergies, no pets can be housed here.
Please, NO colognes, perfumes, incense, essential oils or scented bath/beauty products. We provide natural, unscented soaps, lotion, sunscreen, shampoo and conditioner that are kind to our septic system. We request you use these. Please let us know if this won’t work for you.
We're both artists (Uzi: video; Cynthia: painting and poetry). We practice and teach Jin Shin Jyutsu locally and internationally. We'll warmly welcome you, make sure you're comfortable, share tips for local hiking, activities, etc. Our place is all about the space to be quiet, expansive, and nourished by the touch of Nature.
Uzi lived on a kibbutz (communal living) in the northern Gallile of Israel from birth until age 29, when he came to the USA to study Art. Cynthia, also an artist, moved to the Santa Fe area as a teen in the early 70's, then returned to San Francisco for school ad got caught there a few decades. We are thrilled to have left the rat-race and found this little paradise! We practice and teach Acupressure locally and world-wide.

Expansive views and serene quiet within the space and without. We warmly believe you would love to and benefit from staying with us.
Everyone basically says "wow" when they walk into the guestroom. It's more beautiful than the photos can show. Your comfort, inspiration and peace are our goals.
This is a simple, but lovely and well-equipped place to stay. The windows open out to expansive desert views. It is a ways (20-30 mins) out of Santa Fe, a bit off of the beaten track, but if you are looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable space, this is a great option. Uzi and Caroline are warm and thoughtful hosts. I would stay here again. Thank you!
My wife and I spent our 20 year anniversary cruising around Santa Fe, the Turquoise Trail and Albuquerque. Could not have picked a more perfect spot to call home during our stay. If you are looking for an out of the way quiet location with awesome sunset and sunrise views this is it. Had a big rain/lightning/thunder storm come through our last evening and watching it come in from the West was spectacular through the big picture window. This spot is perfect for a couples getaway but there is a foldout futon for an added sleeping space. Uzi was the perfect host and had some great recommendations for Santa Fe.
Would most definitely recommend if you are visiting the area.
Uzi, is a kind soul who truly welcomes you and wishes to help create a space where you are able to relax and enjoy some time away from the hustle. The property is suited to slowing down and being present. The nature of the accommodations are such that visitors who are sensitive to chemicals, clutter, mold, etc will be able to relax. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and all the provisions to prepare a meal are there if needed. I would highly recommend this place to people who wish for a beautiful quiet retreat like setting to come back to after a visit to the city or simply stay put and be.
We had a wonderful stay that exceeded all our expectations. Comfortable. Very clean and new. Studio built with great care and thought, and with lots of wood that brings a cosy athmosphere. Large windows for light and views. Very helpful and kind hosts. Location: 25 Minutes to Santa Fe, 15 Minutes to Mardrid. Absolutely quiet, no traffic. It's out there and you are surrounded by nothing but nature. Beautiful star gazing at night. Simply amazing.
The studio is spacious, comfortable, pristine. Uzi & Cynthia are perfect hosts - friendly, yet sensitive.
We had a wonderful stay at Uzi and Cynthia's place. We didn't arrive until super late (12:30-1:00am) and Uzi was so accommodating, he offered to stock the fridge for us with breakfast items since we would be getting in so late! So helpful! We enjoyed the views and the peace and quiet. The suite was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed.
Acupressure sessions available in house. We have 32 and 19 years experience as practitioners and teachers of a gentle form of Japanese acupressure.
