Overview

About the property

Ahoy there! We have this spacious, top floor condo nicknamed "Ahoy Named Sue." This is No. 322 at the Sea Gypsy, and because it is on the top floor, it provides one of the best ocean views in the building, as well as having the benefit of never having to hear footsteps above you.

This condo can sleep up to six people. It features a queen bed in the back bedroom, a queen sized, pull-down Murphy bed (great for putting back up and creating more space during the day), as well as a hide-a-bed couch, both in the oceanside suite. Ahoy Named Sue is perfect for your family of six.

Other features include a full kitchen with a full sized range oven, cooktop, fridge, microwave and plenty of dishes and cookware. There is also a mini fridge in the back bedroom and two full bathrooms, stocked with fluffy towels and a starter supply of toiletries.

This is one of the most affordable condos in our rental pool. However, one thing that never needs updating is the breathtaking wall of windows that give you that hypnotizing view of the Pacific sea. If you feel like getting out and enjoying some of that view first hand, you're in luck because the Sea Gypsy has arguably the best beach access in all of Oregon. Just 12 steps from the ground floor of the building until your toes are in the sand!

Location! Location! Location!

  • 5 of 5

We REALLY enjoyed our stay this past weekend! The location cannot be beat - we felt like we were ON the beach! We loved opening the windows & listening to the waves crashing. There was plenty of room for all of us (Girls Weekend - party of 5!), and we can't wait to come back soon! Thank you for sharing your condo with us!

Great location, old property

  • 3 of 5

This property overlooks the D river, and the beach is right outside your door. This is great. The property itself is very old, and everything felt dated including threadbare carpet. The rooms were clean though.

There is no elevator. Which is a challenge if you are staying on floor 3.

There is no laundry facilities on the property.

Kitchen is fully stocked. Everything looks like it came from a dollar store, but completely functional. No dishwasher.

Beds were comfortable. Hide a bed was not, but they never are.

Overall, this place felt like staying in an ancient hotel. Its nice to save a few $ on the cleaning fee and admin fees, but you need to have your expectations set. It was very functional for last minute vacation plans.

Very enjoyable stay

  • 5 of 5

Our son was visiting from Kansas and we took him to the coast for

a couple of days. We really enjoyed staying at Ahoy Named Sue.

It was very well appointed and clean. Our son grew up in Oregon

and spent many days exploring the beaches on the coast. He was

so happy to be able to be at the Oregon coast. The only thing we might

suggest is it would be nice to have a couple of beach chairs to use. Those

logs can be kind of uncomfortable. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful condo.

Very Happy with the property

  • 4 of 5

We've stayed at Sea Gypsy many times in the past. The location is the best on the Oregon Coast! This property was great. Two bathrooms and a master bedroom if you wanted to use it. We slept on the comfy murphy bed so we could watch the ocean and hear the waves crashing. The kitchen had everything we needed. We even had perfect weather!
