About this property

Homely Cottage nestled in the award-winning Heritage Garden

Our meticulously restored 140 year old, one bedroom cottage sits in the award-winning Heritage Garden.

Located in Gillentown in the beautiful Clare Valley and surrounded by huge gums, the cottage is a great place to stay, unwind and discover the horticultural talents of the Duncan family.
Feel like going for a drive? Within 10 minutes in any direction from the cottage you will find a variety of award-winning wineries, restaurants and stunning scenery to enjoy.

The stone cottage has one bedroom with a queen sized bed. There is also a sofa-bed in the lounge room for up-to another two guests. All linen is included along with an electric blanket in the cooler months.

The lounge room has an open fire with plenty of wood supplied, along with marshmallows to toast and port to sip! (The fire is not set up when it is fire danger season). While we don't have offer Wi-Fi and the TV doesn't have any free-to-air channels there is a selection of DVD's and CD's.

The kitchen offers good, basic cooking facilities including an electric hotplate and variety of pans, microwave and electric frying pan. A coffee pod machine, kettle and toaster are also there for your convenience.
Full breakfast provisions are supplied along with coffee pods and a variety of teas to choose from. We also supply you with a small cheese platter which features our quince paste and walnuts along with a bottle of Clare Valley wine.

Lovely old stone cottage in the Clare Valley
The heritage stone cottage has lots of space with 2 living rooms and a bedroom with a comfortable bed and a very well equipped kitchen. Breakfast supplies were particularly generous and the excellent kitchen was well lighted. Lighting in the other rooms was a bit low and there was no television reception and a poor WIfi signal. The location is a little out of town and the road a bit difficult to spot in the dark. Overall, a quiet and comfortable place to stay.
