Gem of a home in wine country

  • 5 of 5

This rental is a hidden gem in Calistoga on the border of St. Helena. It is impeccably well decorated and comfortable. It feels very new and like we could move in forever. My husband was ready to buy the place! It will be our go-to place to stay each time we visit Napa Valley. It is a gated home surrounded by vineyards and with views of the sunset over the mountains and vineyards each night. You can see Castello di Amorosa across the valley so if you didn't know better you'd think you were in a little place in Tuscany complete with medieval castle in the distance. The unit is a lovely studio above a garage and is very quiet. No noisy neighbors like at a hotel. The studio is nicely divided by a see-through fireplace so the living room and kitchen feel separate from the extremely comfortable and plush bedroom and exquisitely designed bathroom. Every wall has windows that when shades are raised let in lovely sunshine and have views of vein surfs and mountains on all sides of the unit. We used the practically brand new grill by the relaxing pool and bocce court for dinner and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The pool was small but perfect for cooling off on hot Napa Valley days. There is a nice grocery store with essentials and gourmet cheese, butcher and wine of course in Calistoga about 10 minutes away. We enjoyed Failla, Schramsberg, Rombauer and Duckhorn all within 10 minutes as well. St. Helena was a cute small town with local shops and great restaurants about 15 minutes away. We also took a Saturday cooking class at the Culinary Institute of America Greystone just 8 minutes away. Perfect stay! Towels, sheets all included but bring your own food and drinks for the unit.

Couldn't Ask for More

  • 5 of 5

We were up in Calistoga for a wedding at Calistoga Ranch. The property was nearby the wedding and absolutely beautiful (also accurately described and well-maintained). It was quiet, peaceful and the break we needed from city life. The unit has a modern style that feels super spacious with a great balcony overlooking the vineyards. The bed was super comfortable and we slept great. We loved walking around the property and checking out the stars at night. During the day, we headed up to SolBar in the morning for breakfast and enjoyed nearby hikes before our event. It has great proximity to some of our favorites in wine country. Without a question, we would stay here again.

Magnificent wine country escape

  • 5 of 5

Came to stay here for a weekend (sat morn-sun night) with my girlfriend for our first Napa trip and this house was by far the best part of the trip. The guest house is a perfect in every way. Everything is remote controlled from the fireplace to the shades over the deck doors. This has been by far my most favorite rental home I've ever stayed in. I highly recommend grabbing some wine and playing bocce during sunset. It's so convenient to everything we travels for as well.there really isn't one negative thing I can think or or anything I would change.

Peaceful, beautiful, cozy!

  • 5 of 5

This is a fantastic property and the owners are very customer oriented! It is in an amazing location and only minutes from Calistoga and St. Helena. You really don't have to drive more than 15 minutes in either direction to have a full-on Napa Valley experience. It is exceptionally clean and modern, and the fireplace is a great touch for the fall and winter.

I wish I had been able to spend more time at the property; building in some relaxation/down time. If you bring a nice bottle of wine or two and some good charcuterie and cheeses you may remember it as the best part of your time in the Valley.

A couple of recommendations:

1. If you don't want to drive to town for coffee, bring the Keurig cup of your choice (they have a great unit) and creamer/sweetener.

2. You may want to bring your favorite shampoo/soap.

Have fun! I will be back, if it is available when I am looking....

Fab Napa Time in great place!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Napa in this property. We are well-traveled and like modern, clean spaces. This home provided great amenities, privacy, quietness, modern convenience, and an amazing setting. The ability to be on a small vineyard in a fantastic location close to Calistoga, St. Helena, Yountville is such a big plus. The views out to other vineyards was perfect. This was a brand new property in which we stayed and will likely be back!

Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was wonderful for myself, my wife, and our small 15lb. dog. The actual apartment is well appointed, designed, decorated, and very comfortable. Internet, televisions, etc. all worked flawlessly. What we very much enjoyed was the privacy of the property. It was quiet and serene. You could roam amongst the vineyard and had fantastic wide ranging views of neighboring vineyards and mountains. Though it is an apartment and not a full house, it would far exceed most hotel/resort rooms and you don't have the crowds or neighbors of a hotel/resort. Just an all around fantastic and relaxing stay and we look forward to staying here again.

About Chris Corrigan

I purchased the property in 2012. It is a 5 acre vineyard with the main house and Guest House. The entire property has been completely rebuilt in 2015.

This is a second home for me. There is nothing better than spending time on the property and "listening to the Grapes grow"
