About Tina Gibson

I've owned a vacation rental business now for about 20 years. My experience overall has been a very good one. I've met a lot of wonderful people and I have numerous people who renturn to my cabins every year. I love the outdoors and I love nature. I try very hard to be kind to the environment and the critters that live there. If you are coming for a relaxing time and a change to just get away, then I welcome you with open arms! Let that stress of everyday life go and just relax and take in the clean fresh mountain air!

Why Tina Gibson chose Mt Lookout

I don't own this particular property. I have a cabin that I own just down the road from here. However, before this property (farm) was sold and developed, I had dreamed of owning it and having several rental cabins availabe to people. This entire property, which stretches all the way to the Meadow River has always been close to my heart. It truely is a peaceful and serene place to be. But, don't take my word for it, find out for yourself!

What makes this cabin unique

You're going to love the front porch, especially in the morning, where I'm sure you will be able to catch the site of some animal rustling around somewhere for a bite of breakfast. In the evening time, grab a glass of wine, cocktail or ice tea and make your way to the hot tub for some leisure time. You will find this to be a very comfortable and unique place to stay.

Good experience! Affordable nice weekend with friends. Fairly convenient to adventures on the gorge and not too far from a grocery store. I expected more from the fire pit and directions to the cabin weren’t great for someone traveling from out of state, but once we found the main road it was easy to locate with further directions from Tina.

This cabin is located in the Mecca of most all outdoor activity. So, if it's the outdoors you crave, this is it! Bring the kids and just plan on a time of relaxation and nature. You have whitewater rafting, skiing, Summersville Lake, boating, jet skiing, rock climbing, and the list goes on....

Be sure to check out the New River Gorge Bridge, driving across isn't that eventful unless it's bridge day, however, be sure to make the drive "under" the bridge! It's quite a site to see the structure itself. And if that's not enough, they offer "bridge walks" and you can literally take a walk on the catwalk of the bridge. The newest event of the area is zip lining, fun for everyone! If this is just not your cup of tea, there are some nice little shops in Fayetteville and the surrounding area which offer antiques, pottery and many eclectic and unique items.

For your nightlife fun, during the summer season, many of the local rafting company's in the area offer live music on the weekends. For the local flavor, The Tractor Bar, located about 8 miles from the cabin is a favorite and close spot to shoot a game of pool, check out live music on Friday & Saturday nights, play gaming machines or just talk to the locals over a beer or cocktail. Whatever your heart desires is up to you. Just remember, West Virginia is a laid back kind of place. People are friendly and they don't get into a big hurry. If you are kind to them, they will open their heats to you and welcome you with a smile.
