This may sound like a place you already read about, well it is the same place only the downstairs unit. We want your stay to feel like you stayed somewhere special so here is what we did. Post lamps and cobblestone brickwork mark each side of the driveway as you drive up to the entry gate, looking straight ahead is an old streetlight we refurbished to tie everything together. Type in your code and gain access to the private concrete parking in the rear of two 30's era two story homes. Walk around to the front door and you will notice the plants hanging from the the second story veranda among other places. You don't need a key, type in the key-code again and unlock the door. The monitored security alarm is there for your peace of mind while you are staying. If you noticed the video cameras as you were walking by them, they just sent me an email letting me know you have arrived. This suite is around 1000 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, townhouse style. It has been completely remodeled throughout, maintaining the charm of its era. You will see the hardwood floors and French doors as you enter. Most people immediately start talking about the French doors with the old style mortise locks, glass knobs, brass plates and skeleton keys. If not that it's the 55" TV over the fireplace that grabs their attention or the attention grabbing ceiling fan that everybody loves. The bright sunshine yellow rooms and white trim outline the extra tall windows covered by 2" blinds for you privacy. The living area has a Queen sized sofa bed, an overstuffed chair and a recliner for your comfort. The Master Bedroom has a queen sized poster bed, huge closet with mirrored doors, a 43" Flatscreen mounted in front of the bed, built in shelves and plenty of room. The second bedroom has its own charm with a queen size bed tucked into a room behind those french doors with an amoire to hang you garments. The bathroom is tile with a mirrored full length door where plenty of linens hide away. It has all the appliances you would find at home – side by side refrigerator w/ice-maker, gas range, over the range microwave, dishwasher, a washer/dryer combo, coffee maker.
If you would rather be outdoors, you could sit on the front porch and enjoy the fresh air while sipping your favorite beverage. In the back there is another sitting area under the canopy of the tall trees where you can do some grilling on the big 5-burner gas grill and be sure to take note of the butterfly garden we just started.
We also keep a few people handy for those unforeseen issues you might encounter, they are just a few blocks away to keep your stay as pleasant as possible.
The Park Avenue Historical district is just 3 minutes to Downtown Hot Springs National Park & Bath House Row with Shopping, Live Theater, Magic Shows, Wax Museum, & Fine Dining. A revitalization of the area is already underway. Just two blocks away a new city park is being constructed, as is beautification of the main intersection leading to the property with new green areas, bus stop, and flower gardens. A short drive will get you to Oaklawn Racetrack/Casino, Magic Springs-Crystal Falls Amusement/Water-park, Superwinch RV Park, Mid America Science Museum, Arkansas Alligator Farm. A little farther, you could visit Garvin Gardens botanical gardens, Adventureworks Zip Line tours, or one of our three beautiful lakes that surround Hot Springs with marina's, boating, watersports, parasailing and more. Whatever it is you are looking for you can find it.
