One Bedroom, One Bath Condo Only Steps From St. Charles And Streetcar
Kim and Mike Rafferty
About Kim and Mike Rafferty
I have lived all over the world but have called New Orleans home for the past 15 years. I work as a real estate agent in the city specializing in Uptown and the Garden District so I know an amazing location when I see it.
Kim and Mike Rafferty purchased this Condo in 2015
Why Kim and Mike Rafferty chose Faubourg Lafayette
We love the location of this home for visitors because it is so central to everything you will want to visit while you are in town. There is no need for a car! In just a few steps you will be on the street car to the French Quarter or to go further uptown. Plus you have the added benefit of being so close to Magazine street with great shopping and bars. And, if you are coming for Mardi Gras well it doesn't get better than this for parade watching and the convenience of drink refills and a restroom just a block from the route.
What makes this Condo unique
I love New Orleans architecture and this is what drew me to this condo originally. Unlike many city condos that you may have seen, this is a portion of a historic grand home. It truly feels like a smaller version of a true New Orleans home. You have your front porch to be able to sit and sip ice tea (or something stronger!) and when you walk in the home the hard wood floors, soaring ceilings, and grand windows take your breath away. You also have the added benefit of a truly updated kitchen with all stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar. The space is generous so you will have plenty of room for four guests.

great place in New Orleans
very nice condo close to French quarter and garden district
Loved staying here for our short stay in New Orleans. Great neighborhood. We just walked down the street each evening to a different place for dinner and they were all great. Condo is perfectly clean and well equipped. Hoping to get back sometime soon.
nice, clean & well managed
Nice and clean, just outside the city but close to the street car. Owners were very responsive.
Only block from the historic streetcar, just outside the Warehouse District/French Quarter, but very much in a prime location in the heart of the city of New Orleans (Lower Garden District).
New Orleans at its best …
Easy communication with Kim, easy to find this very spacious and inviting, clean apartment. Everything was as described: lots of parking in the street, quiet neighborhood with a lot of nice restaurants and the streetcar stop nearby, just 5 stops from Canal Street.
We liked the overall New Orleans style decor, just the way we had it in mind.
A nice surprise: a welcome song being played by the TV, a bottle of sparkling wine and coffee in the fridge. The kitchen is well equipped and it was fun to prepare breakfast. The bed was very good and plenty of couch space in the living room to relax when back from the vibrant city.
The WiFi worked very well. The internet based TV (Roku) was not our favorite, as Europeans we're rather used to the "classic" cable which we would have preferred as we missed channels like CNN or HGTV …
We can highly recommend staying in the condo of Kim and Mike.
I'm delighted you enjoyed your visit, and thanks for choosing our condo!
Home away from home.
Had a great time staying at this condo on the edge of the Garden District. It’s convenient to everything, comfortable and well appointed. Will definitely stay here again.
