You will stay in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood where locals live throughout the year. The unit is in a separate building from our home and offers complete privacy but we are here to make your stay enjoyable. This bright and airy apartment offers a completely furnished kitchen with gas stove and granite countertops, queen size bed, bathroom with shower and living room with a separate area for dining. Bring your kayak or bike or scuba gear.
This is a great base camp for taking day trips to historic sites, including Boston and Salem via our local commuter train. We are also only four miles from Gloucester, the oldest fishing port in the U.S. Both Rockport and Gloucester are home to dozens of artists whose galleries are available for viewing throughout the area. We are a short drive from Essex where you can spend a day antiquing. Walk down to the Atlantic Path, only 1 block away for beautiful vistas or out to The Headlands, halfway to town for more vistas of Rockport Harbor, the Rockport Village and Sandy Bay. Rockport is a great place to come with your camera. No matter what level of photographer you are, you will go home with beautiful photos. For anyone interested in gardening come for the Rockport Garden Show where you will visit local houses to see all the gems in their hidden gardens.
Christmas is a special time in Rockport. Come see the Christmas pageant with a live nativity, sing Christmas carols in Shalin Lui, and visit the galleries all decorated for the season.

The light and air quality is ideal for artists and photographers so bring your camera or brushes. Hike to Dogtown which was the earliest settlement on Cape Ann (1600s). Walk out to Halibut Point Granite Quarry. Take a boat tour around the island or go whale watching. Take the tour to Thatcher Island but make sure you reserve well in advance. Rent a kayak or spend the day at the beach. If you read The Boston Girl walk to see Rockport Cottage, keeping in mind that this is a private residence now.

During July and August there is a minimum of a one week rental with the following exception: subject to availability, we will accept a minimum 3 day rental which can only be reserved no earlier than one week in advance.
Holiday weekends in Spring, Summer and Fall are a minimum of 3 nights.
Monthly rates are available. Please send email with your dates. Winter monthly rate is plus heat.
