4 Bed, 3.5 Bath Private House In The Highlands

Our house is a four bedroom, three and a half bathroom custom build in the prestigious Highlands neighborhood of Breckenridge around the corner from the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed Breckenridge Golf Course. The house is on a secluded, 1.2 acre wooded lot boasting spectacular views of Lake Dillon and is only a short drive to the ski slopes and downtown Breckenridge.

A stylish stone and timber design with high vaulted ceilings, the house is luxuriously appointed with all you could need to feel at home. The main level features a great room with a gorgeous gas fireplace and seating area with a flat panel TV and a dining table to seat eight. The full gourmet kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances with granite countertops for the times you want to prepare a home-cooked meal. In the summer months you can fire up the barbeque grill on the deck and relax in comfortable lounge chairs looking out over the mountain view. Just off the great room is a powder room with an exquisite custom vanity.

The master suite is on the main level which features a well-appointed bedroom with king bed, an expansive bathroom with two toilets, a walk-in shower, a jacuzzi bath tub and a walk-in closet. Also on this level is a beautifully appointed study with two large desks and a walk-out deck with views to Lake Dillon. There is high speed 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi internet throughout the property.

The spacious lower level features three bedrooms, including a second master suite, the family room, a bathroom and a home theater. The second master suite boasts a king bed and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, bath tub and large walk-in closet. The third bedroom has a king bed and built-in custom closets, while the fourth bedroom has either one king bed or two twin beds – please let us know which option you prefer when booking - and built-in custom closets. The Family Room features a wet bar with wine cooler and beer fridge and a custom designed state of the art 4K projector theater with surround sound, blackout blinds, scene lighting and a giant 123" fully-automated screen. The system is connected to Comcast cable TV and a Blu-Ray/DVD player with cinema surround sound so you can watch movies or live TV in comfort with reclining leather seating and plush bean bags. There is also an HDMI input so you can plug-in your games console, media box or laptop to enjoy on the big screen.

Also on the lower level is a custom-built yoga studio complete with ballet barre, 52" TV and in-studio audio so you can connect your phone or media device to play music while you work out. This floor also gives you access to the large outdoor Arctic Spas hot tub and a gas-powered fire pit from where you can watch the stars come out. Note that while the hot tub may be used year-round, we close off the fire pit for the winter months.

The house also has two laundry rooms and a large heated three car garage where you can store your skis and snowboards in the winter to dry out before hitting the slopes again the next day or your bikes in the summer. The property is located next to the National Forest with access to the Flume Trails just over the road for snow shoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter and hiking and mountain-biking in the summer. The spacious floorplan, two true master suites, vaulted ceilings, dedicated Home Theater and spectacular views make the house an exceptional getaway in the mountains to share with family and friends.

Winter Season Activities

During the ski season you have the Breckenridge ski area on your doorstep, along with a host of cross-country and snowshoe trails. You can experience dog sledding rushing through snowy woods on a sled pulled by a team of huskies, or ice skating on Maggie Pond in downtown Breckenridge. Then there is sledding at Carter Park or, if you want to step it up a notch, try tubing at the Frisco Adventure Park or snowmobiling in the backcountry.

Summer Activities

In the non-winter months, the Breckenridge area boasts a world-class trail system which will keep even the most avid mountain biker or hiker happy. For the more serious hikers, our own fourteener, Quandary Peak, is a short drive to the trailhead. The 27-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed Breckenridge Golf Course is a couple minutes’ drive away and four additional courses are within 30 minutes; and if you like to fish Breckenridge is home to world-class fly fishing on the Blue River, a crystal clear mountain stream, or you can fish on nearby Lake Dillon. On Lake Dillon you can also sail, kayak, windsurf, paddleboard or even take your friends and family on a pontoon boat for a leisurely cruise around the lake.

Year-Round Activities

At any time of year you can see a show at the award-winning Lake Dillon Theatre, a professional SAG theatre, or the Breckenridge community theater. In nearby Silverthorne you have a full multiplex cinema showing the latest movies and an outlet mall for the shoppers among you. For the culturally minded, you can visit the Barney Ford Museum or take an historic tour of the town and other local areas which showcases the rich mining history. To unwind after a day of activity, or to just plain pamper yourself, Breckenridge offers a wide variety of spa services from the basic massage to stone therapy and aromatherapy.

Terrific Mountain Home

This is a great home, located close to all the Breckenridge activities, but in a quite neighborhood with beautiful homes and views of mountains and Lake Dillon. We had 2 families with 2 kids each, and there was plenty of room in the house. Kids loved the huge TV in rec room, the hot tub, and the fire pit. Great place to stay if you want to enjoy Breckenridge but also relax back at home. Thanks for having us!

Amazing house and location

We shared the house with our sons future in laws and were all present for the actual engagement. The bedrooms are beyond comfortable and there are several community rooms perfect for gathering together. The kitchen is well appointed, all we needed was the food. Mountain View’s from every window.

Enjoyed our visit!

We had a great time renting this property. We stayed there for a month. The location is great......close to Breckenridge, Frisco, and Dillion. Hiking trails located just across the street. So convenient to most everything we wanted to do. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. Simon is very good to work with and was attentive to our needs. We plan to go back next year.

Fantastic Stay

We had a series of family and friends visit us during our stay in the summer of 2017. The house was perfect for us, roomy and very comfortable. Great views from the deck, the sunsets seemed to last forever. Many hiking/biking trails very near, and our five year old ballet dancing granddaughter especially enjoyed the dance/yoga/pilates room.

Simon was great to work with and was very responsive to all our needs. This was probably our best VRBO stay ever.
