Lovely Getaway

  • 4 of 5

What an adorable cabin and Linda could not have been nicer if she tried. She gave us a quick tour of the cabin, complete with homemade pecan chocolate chip cookies. The cabin is on the property of the main house, separated by a big back yard and a fence. So its very private, but they are close by if anything is needed. The cabin is nicely stocked with everything you need to cook and they provide some coffee for the machine. It was beautiful, peaceful and quiet.

There are neighboring horses which are fun to pet over the fence when they wander over. I do wish there was a washer/dryer in the cabin, but that is just me and there is laundromat across the street. I also think that the mattress could be updated. There is a ditch in the middle that we kept rolling into. If you are traveling into Missoula frequently during the day, the drive can become a bit tiresome as the cabin is about 20 minutes away. All in all, this was a lovely experience and would highly recommend staying here.

The property is perfect. It has everything you would need and Linda is fabulous!

This is our 2nd time to stay here and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's a little hidden secret that I will share. However, I'll be selfish and not want it shared too much, because this will always be our first choice when coming to Missoula. The view is spectacular in every direction. The cabin has all the amenities of home, is very clean and is so relaxing. The floor plan is open enough that you have plenty of space. We lead very busy lives and this get away is perfect for rejuvenating and getting caught up on rest. The beds are comfortable, so getting a good nights rest is never a problem. Again, Linda is spectacular and is available for any needs.

To sum it up, this place is the perfect place for us. We look forward to coming to Missoula and staying at the cabin at Rock Creek!

Clean, Cozy, The Montana Experience!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I love Montana and travel there every 6 months or so. We have always dreamed of having a Montana Thanksgiving. This year we did it and the Cabin at Rock Creek made it absolutely perfect and then some! We brought our big dog and the 3 of us could not have been more comfortable than we were. The cabin is impeccable and so cozy! We had mostly cold and rainy weather while we were there at the end of each day were ready for warmth and comfort. Every night when we walked in the door it felt like we were in our home. The view of the forested mountains in the background and the horses grazing nearby made every look out the window a jaw dropping moment! We have loved every trip to Montana but this was hands-down our best and most enjoyable one yet. Also, Linda left homemade chocolate chip cookies for us! It was such an extra special touch that made us feel so welcome when we walked in the door. We will absolutely be back and will stay here any chance we get and we will tell all of our friends and family to stay here! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Felt like home, and for our Lab Sagie, it was Doggie Heaven!

  • 5 of 5

We drove up to 90 Rock and the Red Cabin nestled among the sugar pines and the infamous Rock Creek. Linda, Jon, and Buster greeted us with warm smiles and a delicious home baked peach and raspberry cake. The cabin has lots of room and was very clean. It is complete with plates, glasses, silverware, everything that one would need for an extended stay. Our week went fast and we totally enjoyed each day. Linda was the perfect host with recommendations and advice about the greater Missoula area. Jon is very knowledgeable about the local rivers and even told us about his favorite places to fish, and his favorite fly the Purple Haze. They work we caught fish.

Every evening we drove up from the cabin to take in the local wildlife, from turkeys, mule deer, whitetale deer, and our favorite the Big Horn Sheep. We come from the city and it was a joy to hear the wind blow through the pines, the rapids cascading down Rock Creek, and watching the fluttery Magpies chase bugs as they emerged on an evening hatch. And waking each morning to wild turkeys perched on our fence, and the neighbors horses peering into the yard.

You are right across the street from Ekstroms restaurant the 150 year old log cabin with family recipes that are simply delicious. The Chicken and dumplings, breaded pork cutlets and bread pudding are a must. Right next door is Rock Creek Mercantile where we bought our fishing license and the hot flies that were producing results.

We will be back, this is a wonderful place to relax and take in Western Montana. One cannot explain our experience one has to experience it in person. Thank you Linda, Jon, and Buster
