About the property

One bedroom historic property turned into a loft apartment

The Space

Recently restored apartments in a colonial 18th century hacienda in the heart of Mexico City's historic downtown district. Just minutes walk away from significant historical sites (Bellas Artes, Latin Tower, Zocalo, National Palace, Cathedral, museums, etc.)

Guest Access

Guests have access to one or two apartments, each comes with kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and a living room/dining room.

Interaction with Guests

My husband and I will be available and live only four blocks away for anything you may need!

The Neighborhood

Our apartments are in the historic downtown district (Centro Historico). We are close to many restaurants, cantinas, sites, markets, etc.. The street we are on is only designated for the bus lane so it is very peaceful. We have one bus stop catty corner to our building that runs from our hacienda to the airport directly.

Getting around

Since we are located in the city center we have the bus line in front of our house, the metro two blocks away, and taxi available on any corner.

Many mobile applications to get taxis (Yaxi) or car services (Uber) are available in Mexico City and will pick you up wherever you are.

Check-in: 15:00

Check-out: 12:00

Any check-in after 7pm we charge a $35-$45 usd fee that pays for airport pick up and the driver will do your check-in. The cost depends on size of car you will need for your group.

*After making your booking please send us your itinerary to know when we will meet you at the apartment. Also, due to a new policy we are requiring that all guests arrive with an ID that matches the name on the card used to make the booking that we can photograph for our books.

About Olivia Andrews

Hola! My name is Olivia Andrews and I am originally from Charleston, South Carolina. I moved to Mexico City back in 2007 and live in the historic center just a few blocks from the Zocalo to my east and Bellas Artes to the west and me right in the middle! I love to meet new people and show them around this city that I have enjoyed so much!

Olivia Andrews purchased this apartment in 2011

Why Olivia Andrews chose Centro Histórico

As a hobby on the weekends, I used to go inside places in the historic center just to see what I can find and stumbled upon this gem! My husband, Victor, and I feel in love with this place immediately and knew it was a once in a lifetime to come across a property like this one in the historic center of Mexico City so we bought four apartments in the same building and refurbished them.

What makes this apartment unique

The downtown area is well known for its range festivities, music, people, events, attractions, shopping, etc and this place is located within walking distance of it all but just far enough to be a little break from the hectic crazy street life. It is truly a little oasis in the heart of the city.

Great apartment in excellent location

  • 4 of 5

My friends and I stayed in this apartment over the dia de los muertos celebrations. It was exactly as shown in pictures; charming, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect and with all the crowds out we were happy for the peace and quiet at night. The only negative was the luke warm water in the shower, but not a deal breaker by any means.

I want to give a special shout out to Arturo our driver and guide extraordinaire. Arturo offered to take us on a tour outside the city. There were no time limits, no hassles, he was gracious, kind, and incredibly accommodating. We all felt like we had made a great friend and were sorry to say goodbye. If you have the opportunity or desire for a personal guide around this complex city and its rich surroundings this is your guy.

great !

  • 5 of 5

We spent 5 days in Mexico city and had a great time ! The location of the apartment is a perfect, very central and convenient to walk and take the metro. Olivia is discrete and very responsive through email. We could also used the services of a taxi driver she knew which was convenient.

Clean, bright and convenient

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect base for exploring Mexico City with my teenager for three days. The apartment is clean and comfortable, and very quiet for being in such a busy part of the city. The metro is just blocks away making it easy to access other destinations. Despite daytime temperatures in the 80s the apartment remained quite cool.

Beautiful apartment and wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The apartment was beautifully furnished with lots of amenities--plush towels; nice cutlery, pots, and pans; ipod and speaker; speedy wifi; video projector; and high-thread-count sheets. The location is convenient to metro, metro bus, taxis and there are excellent restaurants nearby. The owners were very responsive to questions and requests. We plan to return!
