About this property

Sunrise Mountain Village - Bear View

Modern luxury meets adventure in this spacious home with stunning views just minutes from Bear Mountain. This welcoming three-bedroom/three-bathroom townhouse easily accommodates up to eight people, making it the perfect home base for a vacation with your family or friends.

The main entry level of the house features an open-concept living room/dining room/kitchen. From the oversized, relaxed furniture in the living room, in every season, you can gaze out the sloping skylight glass windows to glorious Bear Mountain or curl up with a book in front of the wood-burning fireplace. A flat-screen TV with surround sound, all streaming services, and a Wii for family gaming meet your needs for modern entertainment. A large dining room table seats eight, and sliders behind it open to the deck and gas grill. Prepare gourmet meals in the fully equipped kitchen or perch at the breakfast bar to chat with the chef. You will also find a queen bedroom and a newly renovated full bath on the first floor. On the upper level of this unique home are a large main bedroom with a queen bed, a full bath, and a bonus den/tv room with a queen pull-out memory foam sofa bed. The lower level has one bedroom with a queen bed, a second with two twin beds, a laundry room with a full washer and dryer, and a large full bathroom with a sauna.

Finish your day of turns by skiing straight home from the top of Bear Mountain to the townhouse (snow condition dependent)! To start your ski day, a short 50-yard walk to the trail brings you to the Sunrise lift. Ski out is available when Sunrise lift is open, and ski home is snowfall dependent. Check Killington's website for real-time lift availability and snow conditions. If mother nature doesn't cooperate, Bear Mountain lodge is only a 3-minute drive away.

Enjoy unlimited access to the Sunrise Commons with its huge indoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs (winter), and outdoor pool (summer). Didn't you get enough of a workout? Hit the total gym for cardio or weights. Don't feel like driving far or cooking? The sports complex is also home to the Sunrise Bar & Grill, a cozy slope-side pub open seasonally for a craft Vermont beer or a hearty meal. Borrow cross-country skis, snowshoes, or ice skates at the Commons and enjoy the private Sunrise trail network and skating pond.

Sunrise location a plus
We travel to Killington annually for a family ski vacation. We always stay in the Sunrise area and love the easy access to Sundog trail and lift and the access to the sports complex. This property is not a ski in nor a ski out property and should not be described and priced as one. We drove and parked to access Sundog. If you are coming with a group, the kitchen is tiny and you literally cannot open the dishwasher or refrigerator and enter the kitchen. Several dining chairs and the sitting bench had wobbly legs. The sofa bed in the office needs to be replaced, it is terrible. The main floor bedroom is tiny and the closet was crammed with stuff and not usable, as was several other closets. Same with dressers in bedrooms, drawers had junk in them as well. The sports center pool and hot tub was only open until 4:30 this year due to Covid? Making using the sports center impossible if you were skiing until the slopes closed. 0n a positive note, the kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of seating in the fairly small living room and a nice fireplace. Getaway vacation was very responsive and sent maintenance promptly to fix a few issues. And there is a sauna in the basement, which I didn’t recall being listed as an amenity.

Best. Time. Ever.
First time at Killington, and OMG! An exhilarating and epic experience for me and my immediate family of 10! Just great vibes; the place was amazing, fit everyone, and did not want to leave. The owners were very accommodating and attentive to all of our needs. Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience.

Overall property was great
Place was great. Kitchen was well outfitted. Beds were comfy. To say this is ski in and ski out is a fallacy. It is a good walk to get to the lift. There could have been better directions to get to the actual Sunrise lift as well. The TV didn't work that well either and the WiFi is spotty. Fire was awesome - lots of firewood available too.
