This fabulous 3-bedroom 2.5 bathrooms penthouse is unique in that it is a large and private retreat, right in the heart of the village. Recently renovated, the 1800 square foot property boasts of elegant decor, high vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen/dining area, granite countertops and bar, a large family room and a private deck and hot tub. You may not want to leave the comfort of this sophisticated ski sanctuary, but you did come to Whistler for the mountains, so open the door and walk a mere 2 minutes to either the Whistler or Blackcomb gondolas. After your best ski day ever, grab a seat at one of the many nearby village pubs outdoor heated patios. Upper Wedge is the entire top floor of a commercial building and the only residential space in it. The private street level entrance is accessed with coded entry and has secure ski racks storage in the stairwell. From there, ascend the 30 steps to the main floor. The owner, a prominent furniture designer in Europe, decorated the unit-and shows: rare and stunning art, a modern color scheme and high end furniture.

Whistler Upper Wedge

My family stayed at the Upper Wedge for Spring Break. It was exactly like the information and pictures online which you never know if they are accurate in person. The Unit is fully equipped as stated online. Mark was a big help with all the dinner reservations, ski rentals and the Heli Skiing trip. Everything is close to the Unit. It is only a short walk to the Lifts which was a nice bonus. I would high recommend the Unit to anyone.

First of all this unit is listed as 2.5 baths it is not technically it's a half bath with toilet a half bath with shower/tub and a full bath toilet/shower and we we're 5 adults staying there ..There was a nespresso machine in the unit but they ran out of the pods before we arrived we were told they were ordered and would arrive during our stay they never did so we couldn't even use the nespresso machine. The carafe on the coffee pot had a crack in it and leaked coffee everytime we brewed coffee. We were told the day before our arrival that they had had some issues with the tub's temp dropping before we arrived but they had it fixed, the first day we used the hot tub the temp kept dropping below 100 degrees, in addition to water overflowing from the hot tub onto the deck where water had built up under the deck boards and almost started to rise to above the deck boards by the last day we were there. The nightmare of the week was the morning we woke up at 1 am for a 6:35 am flight out of Vancouver and our rental van was towed out of the parking stall where we parked, the location we were told to park in labeled "upper wedge" after my husband had to track down the tow co take a taxi to the tow yard and pay for towing we had to drive 1.5 to 2 hours to airport to try and make our flight luckily we literally JUST MADE IT.....very stressful I told Mark we wanted reimbursed the charges for taxi and tow for our inconvenience....waiting to see if that happens....due to tow co saying a different version of what we had told good business practice I would hope Mark would take the initiative and reimburse us for our trouble and inconvenience....we will see what the future we will not be choosing to stay here again.

Great place to spend Christmas with your family!

My husband and I, along with our 3 teenage/early 20's children, spent Christmas week at the Upper Wedge. What a great place! The kitchen is nicely stocked, the beds are comfortable and the condo is updated and welcoming. It is also strategically located in the village. It's very close to restaurants, the grocery store and liquor store, to wonderful shopping and most importantly, close to both Blackcomb and Whistler slopes. Mark was very helpful in securing our lift tickets, ski equipment as well as booking times to snowmobile, dogsled, bobsled/skeleton. We would definitely stay at the Upper Wedge again.

Amazing place to stay, fantastic concierge service included!

Our family of 5 (3 adults, 2 children) spent our Christmas holiday week at Upper Wedge. For context, we once owned a condo in Whistler North for many years, rented it as well, so we are a bit more particular than most vacationers to Whistler. This penthouse was a perfect fit for us: smack dab in the middle of the village (yet not noisy), nicely appointed with plenty of room, a private hot tub, a full kitchen (note the grocery and liquor store are steps away -- no need to drive anywhere!), comfortable beds, heated floors, etc etc. The walk to the lifts was short enough for a 7-year-old to carry own skis without complaint. The concierge service provided by Mark L. at WhistlerWired was above and beyond: private lessons, rentals, lift tickets, dinner reservations -- even New Year's Eve party events -- all arranged by him in advance of our stay. He was attentive both before and during our stay -- a welcome resource! Truly, a stress-free and thoroughly enjoyable vacation. When we return to Whistler, Upper Wedge will be where we book!

Better than the pictures, amazing location

Our family of four had a wonderful time in this village flat. Absolutely amazing location, could not be closer to the lifts for both Blackcomb and Whistler - about a hundred yards away for both. Drove in from Vancouver, parked our car for the week, and chilled out. Beautiful spaces, comfortable beds, relaxing.

Walk downstairs to the boulangerie for our crepes and croissants? Check! Walk a couple hundred feet to the movie theater? Check! Finish all the Christmas shopping within a hundred yards? Check! Several amazing restaurants within a hundred feet? Check! Hot tub? Check! Could not have been more convenient. I think you get the idea... we'll be back!
