About this property

Charming apartment with garden in Medieval Dinan.

Our gite is situated on the Rue du Petit Fort, a truly impressive example of conservation and preservation. This cobbled street descends steeply, dropping some 75 metres (300 feet) in its 750 metre length, from the old town to the picturesque River Rance and the old port of Dinan. The walk up and down is invigorating, scenic and very interesting and even more enjoyable when you envisage a gourmet meal waiting to be ordered at one of the many picturesque café’s or restaurants at the port of Dinan.


Ker Arthur is a self contained 2 bedroom gite, situated on the 1st and 2nd floors, with the living area and kitchen/dining area on the 1st floor, with access to the terrace and private garden, and a double and twin bedroom, sleeping 4 and a bathroom with shower/bath on the 2nd floor. All guests will receive a complimentary welcome basket.

1st Floor: Is bright and airy, comprising the living room dining area and kitchen. The living room which is situated at the front of the property is graced with large windows over looking the cobbled street lined with traditional Breton houses dating back to the 1400's. For your comfort the living room is furnished with a 6 seated lounge, 2 arm chairs, unlimited internet with wifi.


This open plan room leads onto the dining area and newly fitted, fully equipped kitchen consisting of electric cooker and hob, electric oven, microwave oven, large fridge with separate freezer, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board.

The French door leads from the kitchen onto a private terrace and garden with BBQ and outdoor furniture

2nd Floor: Bedroom 1. Furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and dressing table. Bedroom 2. Comprises twin beds with a six drawer half sized wardrobe combination. The bedrooms are separated by the bathroom, comprising a shower/bath, toilet and hand basin. For your convenience bed linen for all beds and towels are supplied.

Parking: private lock up garage for one car is located a short walk from the apartment.
High chair, portable cot and child safety gates are available free of charge to our guests. These requests must be made at time of booking.
Linen and towels are provided.

Pets are restricted to one, and an additional fee for will be charged of €30
Pets are not permitted in the bedrooms.
Pets are not permitted to be left in the property unattended.
The property is not suitable for large dogs.

Modern apartment in medieval setting
The town of Dinan is not one of the main tourist sites in Brittany but maybe it should be! The town is very interesting to visit with ramparts and a lively village centre. The buildings are very picturesque and many are of considerable age. This rental house fitted into the street of very old buildings but was completely modern inside with everything we needed for the week, including laundry facilities.

Schöne Ferienwohnung nette Vermieterin
Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in einem mittelalterlichen Fachwerkhäuschen, das sich direkt an der Gasse befindet, die den Hafen mit der Altstadt verbindet. Es gibt einen kleinen Garten hinter dem Haus mit einer Terrasse, auf der man schön frühstücken kann. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett. Wir überlegen, vielleicht noch einmal zu kommen,

Zentral und romantisch
Die Lage der Wohnung ist fußnah zu zahlreichen Restaurants, Cafes, dem Port und der Altstadt. Für Fußlahme ist der Anstieg etwas anstrengend, dafür ist man aber mitten im Geschehen und das noch in absoluter Ruhe. Wendy ist eine tolle GAstgeberin, unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Wir werden gern wieder in dieser Wohnung absteigen!

Super localisation
La proximité du port avec les bars et restaurants est très appréciable ainsi que le jardin. Le parking est une nécessité même si il aurait plus pratique qu’il soit au même endroit que l’apppartement .
