About the property

Adorable Little Miner's Shack, With an Amazing Yard and Beautiful Views.

This bohemian paradise is just that. A unique historic home built in 1904, located on a quiet residential street, just an easy walk to everything in old Bisbee. The house begs you to relax and enjoy the cities cool vibe. Offering an eclectic interior with a little mix of modern color and shabby chic. The outside is where the rest of the magic happens. Providing a gorgeous yard for our guests to enjoy Bisbee's perfect climate.

The house includes 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a convertible couch. 1 bathroom with shower & tub. A well stocked kitchen with a gas stove (we even have an herb garden for your use). The living room has a flat screen smart TV that connects to Netflix & Vudu & basic cable. On the exterior you have your pick of sitting areas with a wrap around porch, a grassy area, a reading nook, there is also a stone staircase leading up to a secret patio that has breathtaking views.

Bisbee is known to be a very friendly community of artists and free thinkers. It's also a dog town! We are dog people too, so we are happy to welcome your well behaved dogs to the Bohemian Paradise. The best way to tour Bisbee is by walking through the streets and exploring all of the staircases...who better to join you than man's best friend?

We just love this little town. It's a mix of history, art, live music, great food, and eccentricity. It's a place to just relax, slow down, and enjoy life. It's slow pace lets you sleep in a little. The location allows you to keep the car parked and walk to the galleries and restaurants. At night you can sip wine on the porch and be in awe of the amazing star gazing that Bisbee offers. OR you can choose to go out and paint the town with a great mix of watering holes that almost always have live music for you to enjoy. It really is a bohemian paradise.

So come on already, be our guest.

Wonderful spot in Bisbee

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay here over Thanksgiving weekend. The house was cute and clean with a great porch and yard. The upper patio was a great spot to sit in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Jamie!

Worth the stay at Bohemian Paradise!

  • 4 of 5

The location was good and very quiet and clean. It would be a great idea to have a barbeque grill to use. The owner was responsive to a toilet issue we had but still took a few days to finally get the handyman out and still the problem was not fixed. Also it would be a good idea to leave specific instructions on how to use the TV. All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Especially enjoyed the little kitty that created us on our arrival and visited us daily.

Lovely house and great location

  • 5 of 5

Lovely little house and excellent location in Old Bisbee. Quiet but close enough to restaurants, and to the heart of town. We very much enjoyed our stay and will return soon. And great place for dog families.

Clean and welcoming

  • 4 of 5

On arrival, we immediately noticed the apartment house behind Bohemian Paradise. The occupants were up early and not at all considerate with their noise levels. We had to fight for our two allotted parking spots. After adventuring in Old Bisbee, we found a beer can (that did not belong to us) in the yard. Bohemian Paradise itself, however, was enjoyable and charming.

Owner's Response: I am so sorry to hear that loud neighbors kept you up! Normally, our neighborhood is very quiet. Thankfully, those people next door were evicted pretty quickly and things are back to normal.

Bisbee Native Finds Home

  • 5 of 5

I am a Bisbee native and was very nervous about parking, stairs, and the vicinity of the rental in regards to main street. Here's what I found out.

Parking access is excellent. Two cars are able to park right in front of gate and an additional 2 cars fit alongside the house. My family was able to visit me without having to park over a block away. For Bisbee standards, the trek from where you park to the front door is minimal.

The other thing that was minimal was the number of stairs to access the home!!! There are three or four to get up to the level of the house from the road. Bringing in suitcases and groceries was not the marathon that it could be at other locations in Bisbee. To access the upper patio there are numerous stairs. More below....

Access to main street was a huge concern of mine as I planned my trip. The closer the better was my thinking. When I found out Bohemian Paradise was in the vicinity of the old Moores Grocery store I began feeling buyers remorse. That changed once we got onto the property. It is truly a retreat! More below... The fact that the main street was about a 15 minute walk from rental ended up a PLUS for me. I could start my day with a run up Tombstone Canyon and back down past where the rental is located all the way to the coffee shop, have a leisurely cup of coffee or two along with a pasty and then walk back up to the rental. The location of the rental ensured I got exercise on my vacation and freed me to be a little more indulgent without feeling guilty. That might not be a factor for many of you but for me it made my time in Bisbee more enjoyable. I am looking forward to early morning treks next time I stay at Bohemian Paradise.

So two things I promised more commentary about: Retreat and Upper Patio.

RETREAT! This home truly offers retreat. The interior of the home is well kept with furnishings and decorations minimal. (No clutter!) You walk in and can sigh away your troubles. The mattresses are excellent and covered with quality linens. My nights were restful. The garden around the home is a jewel with shady seating available. Every time I came back to the rental after running around visiting, completing errands and caring for my elderly mother I just opened the gate and walked into my own paradise. Love, love, love this home!

UPPER PATIO. I loved it here! There are a lot of stairs and the railing is makeshift making it a challenge if you are older, unfit or drinking. But you can see Bisbee B!

About Jamie Stehly

Hello, I'm Jamie and I'm so happy to be apart of your Bisbee experience! Need suggestions for places to eat or sights to see? Just ask!

Jamie Stehly purchased this bungalow in 2008

Why Jamie Stehly chose Bisbee

I read about Bisbee in an art magazine. It was rated in a list of top 10 most art friendly communities in the US. I thought, I have to check this place out...then the more research I did, the more I knew that I was going to fall in love. Fall in love is an understatement! Every time I pass through the tunnel leading to Bisbee I feel like I'm going back in time. I instantly feel relaxed and at peace. I just can't think of a better place to be in AZ.

What makes this bungalow unique

The Bohemian Paradise is a house that I fell in love with instantly. The yard is just amazing with its mature trees and various sitting areas. The house is such a cute "miner's shack" (as they lovingly refer to them) it has been well taken care of over the years and just has this great feel.
