GREAT LOCATION & legal VACATION RENTAL! Renovated one bedroom on Maui's N. Shore

Furnished 1/1 condo, coveted 2nd floor END UNIT in 3 story walk up building, apt is near one of the 2 stairways. Building Complex is located on Hana Highway.

Stocked kitchen has microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishes, some pantry items, new pots and pans, everything you'll need to cook.

Ceiling fans and AC units in both the bedroom and living room. Basic Cable, 46" flat screen TV, dvd player, wifi. No smoking please.

Queen size mattress with high thread count sheets and hide-a-bed couch in the living room sleep a total of 4 people. For your peace of mind and cleanliness all linens including blankets and pillow shams are washed for each guest.

Extra linens, blankets, pillows, towels, beach towels, beach mat and blanket, whiffle ball set, 2 yoga mats, 2 body boards, 2 coolers, 3 beach chairs, beach bag, soap, shampoo, conditioner, extra toiletries, hair dryer, flat iron curling iron, clothes iron and ironing board, 6 snorkel mask sets, water shoes in assorted sizes, and 3 sets of fins (S,M,L) provided.

Ipod AUX Speaker in living room, BLUETOOTH Aux Speaker in bedroom.

And I've stocked this condo with all the amenities I could think of.

This condo was my family's vacation home, I love it and would live there myself if the building allowed pets. My hope is that you treat the unit, property and the neighbors with the same respect, cleanliness and integrity you would if it were your own. We have invested a lot in renovation, and treasure it. I inherited the condo and management of it, after my father passed. I've taken care it since then when I moved to Maui 5 years ago. This is the first time I'm renting it on a short term basis.

Walking distance to the the beach and the back entrance of Mama's Fish House Restaurant, an island favorite.

Great Location - 1 Minute drive to Paia Town. 12 Min from airport.

Outdoor showers, coin operated laundry & dryers are on premises for property residents & guests only. Ceiling fans and AC units in both the bedroom and living room. Queen size mattress with high thread count sheets and hide-a-bed couch in the living room sleep a total of 4 people. Host and guest interaction is welcomed but not necessary. Keys will be left in a lockbox for you and a code will be provided. An extra set is inside. Please return the keys to the lockbox upon check in, there is a $75 lockout fee. Should you need assistance, I am reachable and usually only 15-30 minutes away. All relevant information is in the onsite guest binder.

Very clean comfortable and convenient!

I booked this condo for my parents 30th anniversary and they loved it! They said it was very clean and comfortable, they also mentioned that it was conveniently located near beaches and the town of Paia. The owner Cheri was so gracious, she even had anniversary gifts waiting for them! Cheri also offers a late check out for a fee which was very convenient for them flying out at night. Overall they loved the condo!

Do not stay here!

This property was not very clean. The refrigerator leaked constantly onto our food, making it inedible. The air-conditioner needed a new filter. A perfect example of deferred maintenance in the entire unit. The hooks on the back of the door in bathroom fell off on second day of our stay. The one towel circle fell off wall numerous times. Just constant annoyances that no one needs to have when they are on vacation. Two sets of salt and pepper shakers, with no salt in either one! The downstairs tenant smoked marijuana 24x7 (we are not prudes, believe me), but the stench was so bad, we could not even sit on the deck. The laundry room was filthy. Do not make arrangements to have more than 1 car if you are more than 2 people......they will gouge you to pay for second car. Lots of bathroom amenities, but there was no spatula in the kitchen. The bedroom window did not have dark enough shade on it, at night the outside building light shone thru so bad that it looked like daylight in the bedroom. Not a fun stay at all. Good thing we had lots of friends on the island to visit. No aloha. It does not even rate one star as far as we were concerned.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately these were the WORST guests I've ever had! I've had FOUR/4 star reviews and THIRTY ONE/5 star reviews, most of which are on Airbnb. They are the ONLY dissatisfied guests I've hosted in the year of renting my condo. ALL of my other guests have enjoyed their stay and loved the amenities. They did not know how to use the website and called me many times to ask questions that are normally a matter of common sense. As soon as they checked in I knew they were going to be difficult and wished I could've refunded their money and cancelled their reservation. No amount of money is worth being treated so badly. There is only one parking space as stated in the listing. She had 3 adults with 2 cars in a one bedroom and expected to have extra parking for free, when there are NO extra free spaces. I called every owner in the building trying to accommodate her extra vehicle. I was finally able to call in a favor, and get her a FREE space, mid-way thru her stay after numerous attempts. She DIDN'T EVEN PAY FOR IT, so saying she was gauged is absolutely ridiculous! There are TWO spatulas in the drawer labeled "cooking utensils" and a labeled bowl to catch the minor leak in the refrigerator, so like many other things, these complaints are based on user error. If emptying a bowl of frozen water once a week during your stay is enough to ruin your trip, then you should probably not stay here. I had to repair things they broke after they left. No one else has ever complained about marijuana smoke and I have never smelled it myself. I have also never been spoken to so rudely and yelled at on the phone as I was by her husband, and was especially disappointed after I worked so hard to accommodate their many needs. Talk about "no aloha!" They should not have rented my place as it was not suitable for their two parties, with 2 cars, sharing a one bedroom. They expected 5 star hotel accommodations, while paying under $200/night for 3 guests. Obviously they were disappointed and should have paid more to stay somewhere else more appropriate. However I doubt these people would have been content anywhere. I hope no other hosts have to go through the nightmare that I endured with these people. They were awful and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They are definitely not welcomed back. I write this sadly as I prefer not to speak negatively of anyone, however after what I went through and the review they left

A very good experience!

We had a very pleasant stay at this well kept apt despite some miscommunication and the place was not ready and no one was there when we arrived. Luckily we got their telephone number ahead of time and Cherie was able to give us the instructions to get in and apt was all cleaned up in the afternoon when we got back. The location is very central for sight seeing in Maui, on route to Hana hwy, haleakalanapa crater....we love Paia as it is not developed and you have a feel of local living. The apt is well equipped with amenities and very clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend it if you are not looking for highly polished tourist traps.

Kuau Plaza is on the less touristy North Shore of Maui. The airport and Kahului Town are 12 minutes away. Close, yet far enough to feel like you're truly on's perfect for sightseeing, island activities, water sports, and relaxation.

Kuau store is within walking distance. A minute by car is Paia Town; shopping, restaurants, bars, and Mana Foods. Mana has organic prepared foods, local produce, and is a relatively inexpensive option to cook meals at home. They offer the best prices on island for their products and produce.

Paia also hosts a Post Office, Bank, realtors office, Hair Salon, and a few minutes up Baldwin Avenue; a Yoga studio & farmers market.

There are multiple beaches within a 7 minute drive; Kuau Cove, Paia Bay, Baldwin Beach, Ho'okipa Park, Baby Beach, and Sprecklesville. The road to Hana and The Seven Sacred Pools are a 1 1/2 - 2 hour drive.
