Kathie's executive suite overlooking Signal Hill

  • 5 of 5

Kathie's suite is perfectly positioned for walking everywhere in St. johns, NL. there wasn't a thing missing that we needed and everything worked well. she even has a hair dryer..I travel lightly! Kathie is a lovely person to deal with and we enjoyed St. johns immensely. There is a lot to see and do but the best was the show' The Spirit of Newfoundland ' ...amazing singers and entertainers. thanks Kathie! Sincerely. Laurana and Ray

Downtown Executive Suites, St. John's Newfoundland and Labrador

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time i have ever taken a vacation, anywhere! I loved the beautiful city of St. John's! I couldn't have dreamed of a better vacation spot with so much history to learn and to see! My honey (who by the way, was born and raised there but hadn't been back in a while) and I were completely overwhelmed by the spectacular views this suite had to offer, along with the abundance of amenities provided, we lacked for nothing and were central to everything else you could want! I must give a huge shout out to our gracious hostess, Kathie Hicks, who went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable and unforgettable! We just loved it, and highly recommend anyone planning a trip to St.John's to check here first! Thanks again Kathie, sincerely, Debby and Jon

Quiet, Centrally Located, Well-Appointed Suite

  • 4 of 5

We loved our apartment: centrally-located, easy walk to George Street pubs and music, only a few blocks from The Rooms, and a nice view from the living room window to the “jellybean” houses down the street and the harbour entrance beyond. The kitchen was well-appointed, with all the basic spices, salt and pepper, and even items in the fridge though they were likely left by prior occupants. The kettle, coffeemaker, toaster, microwave all worked well. We didn’t use the stove.

Although the apartment is on the corner of a reasonably busy street, the traffic is completely absent by 9:00 pm, and we slept very well. The bed was comfortable, plenty of linens/towels were supplied, and the shower worked fine. Living room sofa and easy chair all comfortable and well-kept.

We used the washer/dryer – wonderful to have these available.

As an added bonus, the owner offered us a great deal on the “Spirit of Newfoundland” dinner theatre, which was well worth our time – great talent! At the apartment a parking pass is needed (and was provided) if you have a car, and we found street parking within one block of the apartment was easy to secure.

St. John’s has steep hills everywhere – you cannot avoid them – but we took a taxi back one night from George Street to avoid the uphill climb to home, and it was only about $6 plus tip, so don’t be afraid to utilize the cabs. There are plenty of them down in the entertainment district.

We loved this apartment and can recommend it to others. The owner was very concerned for our comfort - it was obvious.
