About the property

Private home with two bedrooms and one bath. Sleeps 7 adults and one infant.

This private two-bedroom/one-bathroom home sleeps six or seven adults and one infant. It’s located on a quiet street near the University of Utah with an enclosed back yard. Amenities include two brand new Samsung smart TVs, cable and Wi-Fi. There is a single car garage and room for three additional cars in the driveway. The back door has a keyless entry code for your convenience. A full size washer and dryer are available in the unfinished basement. There is comfortable seating for six in the living room and seating for eight at the dining table. There is newer carpet in the bedrooms and hardwood in the living/dining area. There is also a high chair, regular size crib, 6 hotel style luggage racks and 3 closets for clothing.

The light from the windows and the charm of the vaulted living room ceiling, travertine bathroom, and retro stove will brighten your day and warm your heart.


The mattresses are a year old now and very comfortable. There is one queen bed, two standard twin beds (daybed and pop-up trundle), a baby crib, and one queen size sofa sleeper. The sofa sleeper is also new. It has a comfortable 4” memory foam firmer mattress. Shutter doors between the kitchen and living/dining room provide privacy for the sofa sleeper.

There is also an extra roll-away bed (slightly smaller than a standard twin bed). It can be set up in the dining room area or in the second bedroom when the crib is down during ski season. Using it would give you enough beds for seven adults.


The kitchen is well equipped with place settings for eight, plastic ware for the kids, a four-slice toaster, coffee pot, cooking utensils, pots and pans, cutlery, colander, baking dishes, hand mixer, food storage containers, plastic wrap, baggies, and a few pantry essentials.

Getting Around

The house is very convenient to downtown Salt Lake City and is 3.1 miles to the Salt Palace Convention Center (a 10 minute drive plus time to park). If you want to take the UTA Trax light rail system, you can easily walk to the red line "Stadium" station, about 3 blocks from the house (only 2 blocks if you go through the school yard). Take the red line heading west to get downtown. Then go north on the blue line for three blocks to the "City Center" station which is one block east of the Convention Center. Search on-line for UTA Trax to get the schedules. There are several fast food places along the 400 South Trax red line and a grocery store adjacent to the "Trolley" station.

Other attractions within a three mile radius include downtown shopping and restaurants, Temple Square, the Family History Library, LDS Church Museum, tours at the home of Brigham Young home, The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum, City Creek Mall, Discovery Place (Children's Museum of Utah), Hogle Zoo, This is the Place State Park, Red Butte Gardens, The Museum of Natural History, Salt Lake City Sports Complex, Sugar House Park, Trolley Square, Liberty Park, Tracy Aviary, the 9th & 9th district, Tower Theater, the Bees Stadium, Memory Grove Park, The International Peace Gardens, public libraries, mountain hiking trails, The Leonardo Museum, and the Downtown Farmers Market (Saturdays, June 13th through October 24th).

The home is also convenient to freeways for getting to the airport and to the canyons for skiing, hiking and picnics.

The Neighborhood

The narrow dead-end street offers a quiet and safe atmosphere with courteous neighbors. The playground at the end of the street is open to the neighborhood after school.

No parking is allowed on the street (even for a few minutes). It makes it too difficult for neighbors to get in and out of their driveways. Because the neighbors wish to maintain a quiet atmosphere, this property is not a good match for groups of young people or for those who need a late night, party oriented atmosphere.
