A wonderful, newly renovated heritage home perfectly located in the quiet setting of beautiful Victoria. Only a 2 minute walk to the scenic waterfront and 5 minute walk to Cook St village. In the heart of the famous Moss St market and minutes from downtown Victoria.

This gorgeous top floor suite includes two spacious bedrooms, one full and one half bathroom, kitchen with all amenities, a sun room, and access to a tranquil covered back patio.

My parents stayed at this wonderful apartment during their 3 weeks visit to Victoria this summer.

Jeff the owner welcomed us upon arrival and showed and explained us the apartment in detail.

The apartment is very clean, spacious, bright, quiet and well maintained, with two very comfy queen size beds,

and well equipped kitchen. The off-street parking was a big plus.The location is excellent with Saturday's Moss Street market a few steps away, 5 minutes on foot from lovely Cook Street village and a beautiful 10 minutes walk along Moss Street to the ocean. My parents enjoyed this apartment very much and will love to stay there again during their next visit to Victoria. Thanks again, Jeff and Laurence, for making my parent's stay so memorable.

Perfect character home, beautifully decorated with lots of space!

We adored staying at this property! It's a historical building, but it's been lovingly renovated; so while keeping character charm, it's also warm, stylish and clean. All the rooms are large, and because it's retained separate rooms (rather than open concept) it means everyone staying can have their own space and down time. The kitchen table expands and fit 9 of us, and cooking was a breeze with a fully stocked kitchen!

It was super easy to get around, and it's in a pretty central location. It took us about 30min to walk to James Bay (with a toddler in hand, so more like 20min normal walking), but if you need a car it was a sweet bonus to have a drive way, meaning no need to decifer on street parking regulations!

It rained while we were there (because - winter) but the deck you have to yourself and the backyard look like amazing places to entertain.

Essentially this place is the perfect place for either taking it easy with core family, or having a "home away from home" that allows you to entertain! Or both! The baby stuff (playpen & highchair) were a god send (they were both in perfect condition, too.)

Jeff was also **very** patient with me communication wise. I was planning this the trip in the middle of midterms, with a broken smart phone. So he's awesome! :)

Great place with lots of character, amazing location

My family of four (kids 3 and 5) spent a week here while I was doing some work at UVIC. The house had everything we needed and all the character you'd hope for in a heritage home. Easy access by bus and by foot to great parks, restaurants, and an amazing Saturday farmers market completed the package. We loved it!

Great location and cool house, not a great shower situation

We really enjoyed the home. The location is perfect walking distance to downtown and has easy access to Cook Street Village and Beacon Hill. Jeff is super friendly and very helpful.

The one thing that was challenging is that there is no shower, only the bathtub pictured. While it's great for a soak, it's a bit challenging to get in and out of, the "shower" hose isn't even long enough to fully stand up while using.

Great location - easy for kids

Great location. Close to town but also nice and quiet neighborhood. The only complaint I had was that there wasn’t bubble not much to complain about!! All on the upper level of a flat with your own stair internal access. We had a 2 and a 1 year old which was great but stairs are open at top if you have a crazy crawler or unsteady walker. The high chair is great and there is a portacot in the cupboard also. Kitchen even has kid-friendly crockery! Super comfortable beds and lovely big bath - no high holder for shower head but wasn’t an issue for us. Jeff super helpful. Highly recommended!

Home away from home

Great accomodation and great location.Bright, spacious and comfortable. Excellent kitchen, well equipped with plenty of work space.

Jeff was very accommodating and sincerely wanted our stay to be an enjoyable experience.

We highly recommend this accomodation and would definitely book Victoria Gem when in Victoria again.......a real jewel.
