This log cabin has it all! Awe-inspiring views from the cabin afforded by being near the top of the mountain. It’s minutes from a multitude of shopping and dining choices in convenient South Asheville, 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, 10 minutes from Biltmore Park Mall, 15 minutes from Biltmore Village and the Biltmore Estate. The cabin is situated in a peaceful, well-established community with incredible views and lots of trees providing privacy between the houses which are spaced generously apart from one another. For hiking and nature enthusiasts, a 300 acre nature preserve with walking paths is literally steps away from the cabin. Perfect for families or couples looking to enjoy all the entertainment Asheville has to offer as well as relaxation and inspiring mountain views.

The wrap around deck overlooks the surrounding woods opening up to incredible valley and long range-mountain views. 6 person Leisure Bay hot tub spa with waterfall and lights situated on the deck for maximum viewing pleasure. The well-equipped kitchen with a center island has all the modern large appliances: dishwasher, microwave, electric stove/oven, coffee makers (including a Keurig) and basic spices. One level living with 3 bedrooms: the master has a king size log bed and its own bathroom (bathrooms only have showers, no tubs). Another has a queen size log bed, and the third has a trundle day bed with two twin mattresses . All bedrooms have ceiling fans. The great room has comfy leather furniture, handmade, rustic tables and bench and a 50” flat screen with free Netflix. The dining table seats eight comfortably. There is a wood burning fireplace in the great room for those chilly mountain evenings and central A/C for those balmy mountain evenings. Charcoal grill, picnic table and bistro table, and two person log swing on the deck. Dog friendly (please, no cats), you can bring your canine buddies -up to two for a $75 dog fee. For those who can’t leave the tech world behind, the cabin has WiFi and a landline phone with free long distance. However, cell phone service at the cabin is reliable.

Lively, downtown Asheville is 20 minutes away and has an abundance of shops and Art Galleries and its restaurants are world famous. On the south edge of Asheville, you're minutes from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway with its many trail heads and spectacular views. Hendersonville Road has multiple restaurants and shops within 5 minutes of the cabin. Biltmore Park outdoor mall has PF Changs, BT Burger Joint, Brixx Pizza and a number of other popular restaurants and shopping destinations as well as a 15 screen movie theatre. Biltmore Village and Estate is a short 15 minute drive. Hiking, rafting and zip lining is in all directions.

All roads to the cabin (including the driveway) are paved, however, they are somewhat steep. 4 wheel drive is not necessary unless it’s during one of our infrequent snow storms.

About Tony and Birgit DiBartolo

Our family moved to Asheville a year ago full time when Tony retired from the restaurant business. Four years ago, we purchased a cabin in NE Asheville so that we could have a place to visit and bring our dogs. We knew that we would have to rent it as a short term rental to be able to afford to have it. It's has been so successful that since then, we have purchased 4 more vacation rental properties and now devote our time to renting and maintaining those properties. We enjoy the communication with travelers and being able to provide a great place to stay in Asheville that's pet friendly, convenient and reasonably priced. It's important to us that our guests know that we do everything we can to make their vacation memorable. After all, we want you to keep coming back!

We purchased the cabin from the only owner it'd ever had-in fact he built it himself. We loved the incredible view and convenience to commerce-restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, and just about anything else that you would need within a 5 minute drive. We also liked that the entire drive was all paved-including the driveway. We looked at a lot of properties with views that had gravel driveways or treacherous, unpaved roads and knew that wouldn't work for us. This cabin had it all, including the incredible view!

Convenience to restaurants, entertainment, anything you would need within a 5 minute drive. The spectacular view is what sets it apart, as well as ease of access. There is a 300 acre nature preserve and hiking trails within .1 mile.

Mountain comforts

The cabin is as advertised, with spectacular views and well-appointed comfort indoors. We especially enjoyed the walk-in showers, large porch and hot tub. We didn't watch much TV, but they do have cable. The cabin is well-maintained and CLEAN. The owners are very responsive to any questions. This unit is very near the end of the road going up, and just beyond is a nice nature preserve with hiking trails going up and down the mountain. Just be aware that the drive up from the main road is steep and winding (all paved), and getting in and out of the driveway requires a little care, but we were more than willing to deal with this to enjoy the benefits of the views and peace/quiet. Also, we were surprised at the volume of traffic on Sweeten Creek Road during "rush hour" and the ride into town can really vary depending on the time of the day. We have stayed in many units near Asheville, some much more expensive, and this ranks among the best overall. If you like to be "in the mountains" and still enjoy comforts of home at a reasonable price, we highly recommend this cabin.

Great location, views, and accomodations!

The cabin is in a great location with wonderful views. It is centrally located between the airport and Downtown Asheville. The owners were awesome and provided great communication from booking to departure. I highly recommend this cabin and look forward to coming back!

Mountain top Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Found it to be very clean and well stocked. It is definitely close to downtown and other site seeing spots in the area. Birgit was great in that she called to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Good view from the nice size deck for the four of us. Would have been nice to have four high top chairs at table so we all could sit together and enjoy our breakfast. And would have been nice to have the windows cleaner for looking out at the lovely view. Our two reasons for giving a 4 star instead of 5. Just small details.

Owner's Response: The windows have been professionally cleaned and are done so every spring. The small bistro table that is mentioned in this review is on the deck where there is also a 6 person picnic table.

South Asheville is convenient to downtown-straight shot north on Hendersonville Road-20 minute drive. Biltmore Estate is also straight north on Hendersonville Road-15 minute drive. Hendersonville Road is a very busy commercial road with restaurants and businesses all the way to Asheville and also south of the cabin to Hendersonville.
