Just steps from Poipu Beach and Brennecke’s Beach, this is an original plantation-style cottage, lovingly renovated and beautifully appointed. It features a new fully-equipped kitchen with granite counters, new bath plus an outdoor shower, two bedrooms, screened lanai, and landscaped garden. Its high ceilings, giant airy windows, island furnishings and tropical ceiling fans in each room give you the feeling of 'paradise of old.'

The home is in a charming beachfront neighborhood on a quiet street. Stroll to Brennecke’s Beach, famous for its perfect boogie boarding waves, or Poipu Beach, which, with calmer water and beautiful snorkeling, is always rated one of the top ten Hawaii beaches. Everything Poipu has to offer is a beautiful walk away on either the Koloa Heritage Trial or the Poipu Kai Greenbelt. This is includes restaurants, shopping, adventure outfitters, tennis courts, pickle courts, playground, and, of course, those beautiful beaches. Two great golf courses are just a mile’s drive.

A PERFECT POIPU DAY

Awake to the sounds of palm fronds and waves, and enjoy coffee on the screened lanai.

Grab your snorkel and walk to Poipu Beach to enjoy the morning fish in the warm calm waters.

Play a round of golf or join in a tennis clinic at one of the beautiful facilities near the cottage. Then sit down for a patio lunch at a local cafe.

Walk to Nukomoi’s to rent stand-up paddleboards and try this new favorite sport. Or take boogie boards from the cottage to try the waves at Brennecke’s.

Crawl onto a chaise in the garden for a few pages of your book and a nap.

Prepare a tropical salad in the fully-equipped gourment kitchen, grill fish from the Koloa Fish Market under the pergola, and relax on the garden patio with wine from The Wine Shop in Koloa.

Sleep peacefully in your Tommy Bahama king bed with luxurious sheets, while dreaming of the next day's adventures.

Fabulous!
This property easily lives up to it's billing as a 5 Star accommodation. It is clean, modern, well appointed, spacious and is close to the beach. It has everything you could need for a great holiday. Communication with the host was excellent.

Absolutely beautiful cottage by the beach
We had an absolutely marvelous time at this wonderful, well decorated, fully stocked cottage. The cottage itself is incredibly charming, the lanai is a wonderful haven, and sitting under the mango tree in the afternoon breeze is one of the best memories we will have of our time there. You really do have everything you need, including beach umbrellas, chairs and boogie boards that you can borrow. The open floor plan connects the kitchen to the dining room and the living room, and there are loads of windows to open to let the breeze through to cool down — though the AC in the bedrooms is a life-saver on hot nights. There’s not a ton of eating options in Poipu, but that’s fine since the kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need and the BBQ is at the ready. Pam’s tips of where to go for groceries were great (because OMG food is expensive!). You’re barely half a block from the beach with lots of boarding, surfing and snorkeling options a walk away. And sunsets at the beach will simply take your breath away. We only had to text the owner once with a question, and she was very quick to reply and help on a minor issue. Definitely hope to come back to this absolute gem!

Perfect location to walk straight to the beach and not fight parking. Have all the beach supplies at your disposal. Clean and updated appliances.

The perfect beach cottage
We adore this place! It's light and airy with plenty of room and with places to curl up and read, doze or just enjoy the island cross breezes. The location is perfect- just a couple minute walk over to several terrific beaches. If you forget something (like binoculars to watch the whales) it's a quick skip back to pick them up. The king-sized bed is very comfortable and both bedrooms have fans and air conditioners if it's too warm. The decor is simple and uncluttered yet we had everything we needed, even a teapot! Pam is a gracious host, most accommodating, and she even dropped off a couple avocados which we devoured. When we stayed last year, another couple stayed a couple days with us and the setup worked just fine for four. You can't do better than this!

We visit my sister who lives on Kauai regularly, and when we found this beautiful Poipu plantation cottage, we couldn't resist.

What makes this property unique

We love the fact that this is a warm, comfortable home, without the commercial feel of hotels and condos. We love the great outdoor space at the cottage.....a sun porch for relaxing as well as a trellis-covered patio for dining, because after all, why do you visit Hawaii if not to be outdoors?
