Completely renovated 3BR, 2 bath 1930's cottage in a quiet neighborhood!

This beautiful cottage is perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, gal-pal getaways, or golfing buddies. Not only do you have all the comforts of home in a quiet, secluded neighborhood -- you're also smack-dab in the middle of town . . . so that you can walk to EVERYTHING! Although just steps from the major road leading into Beaufort, the Craftsman Cottage is set in a garden oasis that muffles the sounds of traffic and the outside world . . . and provides a private, tranquil hideaway retreat from the world. Yet, you are literally steps away from wonderful restaurants, shops and the Historic District!

This 1930's cottage has been completely renovated and has high ceilings and a wonderfully open floor plan which help it live large! The house has a large front porch with tables and chairs where you can relax and watch boats meandering long the Beaufort River.

The spacious living room includes a leather sofa, side chairs, footstools, a fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling bookcases. In addition to joining the kitchen and dining areas, the Great Room provides extra seating and a breakfast bar. A brick fireplace anchors the room and is flanked by floor-to-ceiling bookcases; the dining table is set into a bay window alcove. The polished hardwood breakfast bar overlooks a large open kitchen with Corian countertops. A washer and dryer are set in an alcove off the kitchen just beyond the pantry.

The front bedroom has a king-sized bed, the middle bedroom had two twins, and the back bedroom has a queen. The front bath, which has a pedestal sink, porcelain tub, and wainscoted walls is accessible from the hallway between the king and twin bedrooms. The second bath -- with twin furniture-style cabinet sinks, custom-tiled floors and walls, and a quarter-circle shower -- is accessible through the queen bedroom. Each bedroom (along with the living room) has its own TV with DVD player. The house has basic cable with major network channels, and a desk with secured WiFi.

On the side of the cottage is a private garden complete with patio table, chairs, grill, birdbath and bench for your outdoor enjoyment.

Golfing is also BIG in the Lowcountry of South Carolina -- with many World-Class Courses in the area. We'll provide you with a contact list of public courses where you can play. Kayaks and paddle boards are available locally for rent and group outings are available. In addition, there are two skateboard arenas about 15-20 minutes away. Deep-sea and fresh-water fishing tours can be booked locally. In addition, bicycles are available for rent locally for exploring out great new Spanish Moss Biking Trail.

WALK EVERYWHERE! We are in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet just around the corner from the Historic District, shopping and dining. Magnolia Court is just across the street from a park overlooking the Beaufort River; one block from the beautiful Pigeon Point Park with its hundred-year old oak trees, picnic tables, benches, and swings; and literally just around the corner from the Historic District, unique shops, and great restaurants. The University of South Carolina Beaufort with its Performing Arts Center and active community education program is literally just around the corner. The Waterfront Park with its shops and restaurants is just a 10-minutes walk. The sandy beaches, lagoons, and picturesque lighthouse of Hunting Island State Park are only a 20-minute drive. Parris Island Recruit Depot and the Marine Air Station are only a 10-minute drive each. And, we're also centrally located for easy day trips to Charleston, Savannah, and Hilton Head (each about an hr away).

Rates are subject to change until booking is confirmed. Cancellations must be made 60 days in advance of scheduled arrival in order to receive a refund. After that time, refunds are only available if we are able to re-book the property for the same period. Based on availability, we will try to accommodate guests if a date needs to be rescheduled, however.
