About this property

4 bedroom, 2 3/4 bath home, pet friendly home. Sleeps 8 adults comfortably

This is a 2 level home with 2 full size bedrooms and full bath on the upper level. The master bedroom and bath are on the main level. There is another smaller bedroom on the main level. The 3/4 bath is on the main level and shares the space with the laundry facility. Master bedroom and one upstairs bedroom have king beds and the other two bedrooms have queen size beds. We have 2 air mattresses to set up in the living room if additional beds are needed. We have a 105 gallon hot water heater so you shouldn't run out of hot water. Vacationing in groups is fun but yet people need to be able to spread out and have some personal space. The main floor is spacious allowing for plenty of room for all guests. On the main level, there is a game room with pool table that also has ping pong table top in case you want to change your game. Our guests enjoy relaxing on the spacious and covered deck. It is not unusual to see see deer with their young fawn from the end of June through the end of summer. The kitchen is typically a gathering place and you won't be disappointed in this one. There are 500 square feet and includes a 46 inch flat screen TV. It is fully stocked ready for you to prepare your favorite dishes. There are a total of 3 big screen TV's with dish satellite service throughout the home. There is Wi-fi access. You will enjoy a relaxing evening on the 32 foot covered cedar deck. This allows you to enjoy being outside rain or shine. There is a Jenn-Air gas grill and a table for outdoor dining. There is an outdoor dog kennel for your pet to relax while you are enjoying the Black Hills. There is an attached 2 car garage to protect your vehicle from the hail that is common in this area. There is very little traffic in this area since it is a dead end road. You will be able to go for a walk after a long day of driving. The property is 2 miles from access to the Mickelson trail. It is 4 miles to the entrance of Custer State Park. This property offers privacy and allows you to be close to all that Custer has to offer.

Great House Close to Town
House was great for a group of friends to work and explore in the afternoons. Quick to get into town, explore the state parks etc. Lots of wildlife passing through the yard daily.

3 couples, including one with a 3-year-old boy, stayed for 1 week. Plenty of room inside to spread out or sit and discuss the day! We did spend most of our time on the covered porch, which accommodated us easily! Beautiful kitchen and home has 2 areas to eat inside if desired. Watched turkeys and deer daily from the porch. City of Custer is reached very easily for forgotten items as well as vacation socialization. Entering Custer State Park is also easily within reach!

Fantastic property, great hosts
We were very impressed with the cleanliness and beauty of the property. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. On a wonderful piece of land on a quiet dead end road.

Fantastic place for families in Custer
This place was perfect for our family of five. Plenty of room, amazing and quiet neighborhood with deer grazing in the back yard, and close to just about everything you’d want to see in the Black Hills.

Top notch Custer home
Very nice accommodations. We really appreciated the large fully stocked kitchen and enjoyed dining out on the deck. The ping pong table and rope swing were a bonus hit with our family! Great location in Custer allowing for day trips to all of the Black Hills parks and attractions. We would definitely visit again!

The original home was built in 1987. We built an addition and renovated the entire home in 2011. I have a large family that enjoy coming to the Black Hills. We renovated to accommodate large groups of people. We enjoy 4 wheeling and often leave from our home to access the many trails in the Black Hills Forest Service. I also enjoy cycling and will use the Mickelson trail but will also take my road bike out from the bottom of our subdivision. Hiking is a family past time. There are many trails in Custer State Park and in the Black Hills National Forest. Harney Peak is a short drive and offers a moderately challenging hike with beautiful views at the top as your reward. We golf at Rocky Knolls 9 hole course in Custer. We also golf the Southern Hills Golf Course in Hot Springs, SD. It is a beautiful 18 hole course on nearly 6000 acres.

Why they chose this property

Proximity and Spaciousness! You will feel like you are miles away yet you are very close to all of the things you want to do. I have stayed in VRBO properties and have found many of them to be compact. This property is anything but compact.

What makes this property unique

The covered deck is definitely a plus. It is not unusual to have evening rain storms. You can even enjoy the rain without getting all wet, unless that is what you want to do.
