Much improvement needed
Although we had a marvelous view of the gulf and the condo was clean, there were a number of issues that made staying in this condo frustrating and unpleasant. First of all, the bed in the master bedroom creaked and squeaked unbelievably - to the point where my husband and I would wake each other up just turning over or getting out of bed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night! It took a week and a half and two visits (several days apart) and ultimately a new bed frame for the management company to get the situation remedied. The fan in the bedroom clunked when turned on, the sliding door going to the balcony from the bedroom stuck so badly that we couldn't get it closed all of the way and it got chilly when the temps went down into the 50's, until we could get the management company to come in and work on it a couple of days later, the dishwasher had 2 missing rollers so that the rack almost fell out every time we used it, the coffeemaker only worked sometimes, there were no microwave-proof dishes or pans to use - they were all plastic or metal and there were no baking pans at all (I bought one to use and left it there for the next people), and the pantry door had screws that were too small so that the door was ready to fall off at any moment. Another disturbing thing was that all 5 of the extra pillows in the unit were grossly stained. Disgusting! Besides these functional issues, the place needs caulk in the shower and paint everywhere, plus updating in many ways. In addition, other units we've stayed in in this same condo complex always had basics like salt and pepper, some aluminum foil and/or plastic wrap, paper towel, dish soap, cleaning supplies, etc. in them. There was nothing in this unit - not even salt and pepper. The last-stated issues weren't critical, but the functional issues we dealt with were more than annoying. We've had 4 stays in 3 units of this condo complex and never had this kind of frustrating experience.
