Relaxing and perfect
We really enjoyed our stay. We took our 3 kids- 6 yrs, 4 yrs and 2 month old and dog. 2 bedrooms upstairs were plenty big. Kitchen stocked well. With the baby we did run a load of laundry and I was so appreciative of detergent there. The hot tub on the deck was fabulous and the sound of the river at night was so perfect. We took a great hike close by - waterdog lake trail. It was maybe a little too hard for our kids but we made it. Salida had great breweries we visited. Overall the perfect restful place to stay on our trip. Thank you!
Little Cabin On the Mountain
The cabin and it's location were the perfect combination for everything we wanted to do while on our trip to Colorado. We loved everything about the cabin!
3 days of fishing
I rented this place with 2 old friends as a base for fishing and hiking in the area. It had everything we needed and is right over a fork of the Arkansas river which drowns out any other sounds and is great to fall asleep to. The hot tub is on a deck right over the river (not a great hot tub (jets are weak)but at night it was de3lightful after fishing/hiking.
Perfect time beside the river. Very clean and neat. It was so peaceful. Great hosts who make you feel at home!
What we expected
We expected a special stay and it was. We never were able to get the Hot Tub hot, but not sure if it was our fault or the tubs, but no big deal!
Sorry the hot tub wasn't great for you guys. It is working properly. There is a thermostat knob on the control panel. It may need to be turned up an hour or so before use. It maxes out at 104 degrees. Please let us know if you had that turned up all the way and it still didn't heat up. Let us know if you come again, we'll make sure it's cranking.
Cabin in Garfield,CO
Well decorated and homey atmosphere. The best part was being right next to the roaring creek. Their kitchen was very well-equipped, including paper towels, fabric towels, spices, toaster and all the kitchen tools you might need. There was a small outdoor table/chairs on the small deck in back. There is no “yard” around the cabin but you can walk on the quiet roads. The hot tub was quite deep, not necessarily safe for children. The spiral staircase is very narrow and the upstairs bathroom quite small, but a very nice place overall and we enjoyed our stay.
