2 level 5 bedroom home, 2 up 3 down. 2 full baths, one on each level. Large living room downstairs. There are large decks off the front of the house, with a large porch to enjoy meals outside. There are 3 bedrooms with queen beds, a bedroom with 4 bunks--great for the kids, and a bedroom with 2 twins. the lower level is a walk out basement directly to the hot tub. The beach is down about 50 feet from the house and is very private. There is a sand bar about 75 yards off the beach. The depth at the sand bar is usually about waist deep, so boats do not come in too close and it is safe for swimming. Between the beach and sand bar the depth is about 15 feet maximum. Bring your boats, canoe, kayaks or other water craft and enjoy the water. There is no dock, but a boat mooring is available.
This is an older home, built during the 70's. The air-containing is for the upper level, as the basement level stays cool most of the summer. All the basement bedrooms have windows that open for "extra" ventilation. Please, keep windows and doors closed, with blinds drawn, during the heat of the day to keep the house cool. Taking a dip in the lake before bed is an excellent way to cool down.
Located on the east side of skaha lake, our family friendly home is a pearl. It is set close to the lake and about 1 k from the main road. It is a rural residential area. There are only 8 homes on our street and only 4 of those are on the water. The days are long and lazy with great times on the beach with family and friends. Some world class wineries are located with minutes drive just north of our home or south towards Oliver. Take your own tour, in your own time. Skaha bluffs is an international rock climbing site and is only 10 minutes drive north. Penticton is 11 km north on eastside road. There are numerous restaurants and festivals througout the summer and an weekly farmers' market. Okanagan falls is a small town about 4 km south. It has a small water park for the kids, a walking path/biking path on the old kvr railroad line ( part of the trans canada trail), grocery stores, and family beaches.
In Penticton, take a tube down the river channel, visit the museum, or take in some movies on the beach during parts of the summer.
A 45 minute drive will take you to Apex Alpine resort where mountain biking, hiking and outdoor adventure abound.
There are numerous hiking trails withing a short drive. Imagine taking a hike to the top of Apex mountain. Enjoying the alpine views at lunch. Or a day of rock climbing, then coming back to Skaha Lake, take a cool dip in the lake, enjoy a great bar b que and watch the stars come out at night. Sit in the hot tub with family and friends and plan the next day's activity

The Check-in Day is Sunday at 5:00 pm. Check out is Sunday at 9:00 am. This is the standard stay. Rate is $4900.00/ week . Maximum stay 14 nights.
There is an absolute NO PETS on the property. If pets are found, or evidence there of, there will be a $500.00/day surcharge and possible further $4900.00 charge. First charge is for cleaning, second is for loss of income due to need to extensive cleaning. Many people are allergic to cats and dogs etc. There has to be extensive cleaning to protect future renters to the property.
There is an absolute No Smoking on the property or in the house. This will result in $500.00 surcharge for cleaning etc.
There is an absolute 12 guest maximum in the house. This is due to Septic System. If the house is rented to 6 people, then only six people will be in the house for that week, the cost is still $4900.00/ week. There is no room for inviting extra guests. We need to know exactly how many people are going to be in the house during any one week.
We will be in attendance on Sunday to hand the keys/codes over to the renters. We will provide a walk-through as well
There is no refund for cancellation 60 days or less prior to check-in
25% is a deposit due at booking non refundable, 75% due 90 days before check-in.
Person renting the property, ie the credit card holder, will be required to present ID at check in
