The views are absolutely stunning. The cleaning was well done and the beds very comfortable. Loved the complimentary items provided. The Christmas decorations made the cabin feel very cozy and festive. The time of year we stayed was December, so by lunch time the sun was so bright in the living room ,from the windows, it was impossible to enjoy the living room for a couple of hours out of the day. No toaster was provided in the kitchen, so had to toast bagels in the oven. The thermostat always read a 78 degrees regardless of the setting, so not sure if it would be a comfortable stay in the summer months. Also water pressure in the shower down stairs was very weak. Great location from down town Pigeon Forge, very short drive was a plus. The baby gates for the two sets of stairs was awesome since we had a 19 month old in our family. Extra large laundry room for plenty of laundry. Thanks for letting us enjoy your property!
Cabin is fantastic. Clean, nicely decorated, and feels nice and cozy. Great view of the mountains - it never got old. Location is nice too - close to town, yet far enough to get away from it all. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend this cabin to many!
Weather was warmer than usual, but the cabin was delightful and comfortable.
The view is lovely from both of the decks. Our group consisted of two couples; we each had our own floor for sleeping and restrooms. The decks, kitchen, game loft, and sitting rooms are shared by everyone and easily accessible via the exterior or interior doors/stairs. Wears Valley is a great location for accessing both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and it is far more peaceful than those venues! We would definitely stay here again!
Due to unforseen circumstances I wasn't able to book our family vacation property as far ahead as I usually do, so I was nervous when I put in my requirements for VBRO properties. We have a large family and I was picturing my children on one level and possibly a second level for hubby and me. I knew I wanted pretty views, and **hoped that maybe I could also find a beautiful cabin for the right price. So imagine my absolute JOY when I saw Heintooga still available on my dates! It was the ONLY place I saw that I truly loved. It fulfilled ALL our "essentials" and included things I didn't even know I wanted(like the bearskin rugs and the nice game area upstairs) This place is much prettier than the pics even show. Both inside and outside are lovely. We loved the location, as well. We were minutes from breakfast places on Wears Valley Road, and Dollar General for all the necessities, and only a short drive to Pigeon Forge, shopping and great restaurants, but yet the cabin is tucked away on the mountianside. The drive up there is exciting as you're winding upward into the mountain, and upon showing the kids their rooms they were all smiling from ear to ear. The hot tub got used almost every night. The kitchen was adequate for all our meal prep and the large charcoal grill was wonderful--best meal we ate all week was from that grill! Bring things along like hand soaps for bathrooms, kitchen sponge and soap, paper towels, saran wrap, foil, napkins, etc, because they're not included, but any dishes you could need or want are provided. The eating area is good for 6-8, however we ate almost all our meals on the deck with stunning views. The beds were wonderful, too! Hubby and I didn't miss a single minute away from our expensive one at home! I loved the fact of not having to worry about fiddling with security or any cleaning up chores at the end. They do all of that for you and really take care with making sure you feel secure while there. I want to also mention that we had a very minor issue with an aspect of the property but upon contacting the Bear Tootin' manager and her contacting the owner we were able to quickly resolve it. I also left one of my bags on the property and they promptly mailed it back to me, complete with responding to any questions and phone calls I placed to them. If we ever stay in the area again we will definitely try to book a Bear Tootin' property.
